These potted plants are perfect for the balcony; when their flowers bloom in a full pot, it turns into a small garden.

Nowadays, more and more friends like to grow some potted plants at home, such as ivy, spider plant, and pothos, all of which are good choices; besides greening the home environment, they can also purify the air. And when it comes to choosing where to place the plants, I believe everyone likes to put them on the balcony, because of the light; the balcony is definitely a great place for growing flowers, and it would be a shame to leave it empty. So, below I will introduce some potted plants suitable for placing on the balcony; turn the balcony into a small garden, and growing a pot is sure to be a good choice. Take a look!
1. Petunia
Petunia blooms are especially beautiful, fill out a pot quickly, and are very heat-tolerant; even in the high temperatures and strong sun of summer, they can grow well and bloom abundantly. Among the flowers I grow in summer, it is one of the plants that blooms the most and is the easiest to care for. Petunias also do not grow very tall, so they are not too much in the way on a balcony, making them a type of flower suitable for growing on the balcony. In the process of caring for petunias, note that petunias are not very tolerant of high temperatures, so in summer when the temperature is higher, special attention should be paid to cooling them down. The specific method is to provide appropriate shade, sprinkle water around the base, and strengthen ventilation, making full use of water evaporation to lower the temperature; in summer, the water in the potting soil evaporates very quickly, so compared with other seasons, the watering frequency should be appropriately increased. It is recommended to change to 2-4 times per week, and do not water too much each time. In summer, petunias do not need fertilizing; pay attention to maintaining moisture and sufficient sunlight (still do not expose them to blazing sun).
2. Milan
Milan is a plant that likes a warm environment and loves sunlight and rain. Growing it on the balcony is simply ideal. 20-25°C can be said to be the most suitable temperature for its growth. Under normal circumstances, when the ambient temperature reaches 30°C, beautiful flowers will bloom, with a particularly rich fragrance that can be smelled from far away. At the same time, in the process of caring for Milan, when Milan begins to sprout in spring, pay attention to watering, and you can appropriately control water; this is the most critical part of "controlling branches to promote flowers." If watering is not well controlled when Milan sprouts, it is very easy to cause leggy branches and leaves; the best method is to water again only when the tender tips are slightly shriveled and drooping. During other growth periods, keep the potting soil in a slightly dry state, appropriately control nutrients, and promote the growth of branches and leaves.
3. Pothos
Pothos is a relatively easy-to-grow green plant; whether placed indoors or on the balcony, it will grow very well, and on the balcony pothos will also grow well. In the process of caring for pothos, note that pothos likes shade and cannot be exposed to the sun for long periods, otherwise the leaf edges will be scorched. However, note that you should not place pothos in a completely shaded environment; you must provide pothos with enough light for photosynthesis; pothos should be watered so that it stays moist, and never let the potting soil dry out, otherwise it can easily cause yellow leaves and poor plant shape. But watering should be moderate; too much watering will cause water to accumulate in the potting soil, leading to root rot, withered leaves, and similar problems.
4. Jasmine
Jasmine flowers are quite fragrant when they bloom! Growing them on the balcony is also simply ideal; the sunlight on the balcony is relatively good, which is very helpful for the growth of jasmine. In the process of caring for jasmine, note that jasmine fears water accumulation; if the potting soil is too wet, it can easily cause root rot or even death. In summer, the temperature is high, the plant grows vigorously, and the water requirement is high, so you can water thoroughly once a day, spray the leaves 2-3 times, and at the same time sprinkle water on the ground around the flowerpot to increase air humidity; at the same time, in early June, jasmine gradually produces early flowers, and the method of picking flowers is to pick off the tender branches with leaves along with the flowers, prompting new branches to grow again and the branches and leaves to become lush. At this time, apply dilute fertilizer water twice a week and keep the potting soil moist.
