Don't worry about compacted soil: one trick loosens the soil and provides plenty of nutrients

After growing flowers for a long time, soil compaction easily occurs. Generally, the way to deal with soil compaction is repotting, but you can't repot flowers and plants at any time, so what should you do? Don't worry, below I'll share with everyone several methods that effectively improve soil compaction.
1. Sprinkle dry fertilizer on the surface of the potting soil
Generally, prepare some bean cakes or peanut cakes, crush them into powder, then loosen the surface of the potting soil, and after that you can sprinkle a thin layer of this powder on it. After sprinkling the fertilizer, water thoroughly, and the powder will slowly ferment on the surface of the potting soil. Generally, after about a month the soil begins to become loose and also becomes more fertile, but this method cannot be used frequently.
2. Sand column method
Insert a few holes in the flower pot with a thin stick, then pour some coarse sand into the holes, so that multiple sand columns can be formed in the flower pot. When watering, the water will evenly seep into the potting soil from the sand columns, and it can also enhance the water permeability and air permeability of the potting soil and promote root growth.
Normally when we grow flowers, we also need to pay more attention; a few small tips can prevent soil compaction from occurring.
1. Do not use tap water directly to water flowers: tap water contains relatively more chlorine and impurities, and the water quality is relatively hard. When growing flowers normally, it is best to leave it in the sun for a day or two so that the chlorine in it can fully volatilize.
2. Use less chemical fertilizer: chemical fertilizer can be said to be the main cause of soil compaction. If you want to prevent soil compaction, normally use more fermented organic fertilizer. Normally using fermented rice water to water flowers can also help prevent soil compaction.
3. Loosen the soil often: when caring for flowers, you must be diligent with your hands. When the potting soil is dry, use tools more often to loosen the soil. When the potting soil has not been loosened for a long time, it is also easy to cause soil compaction. After loosening the soil, you can appropriately water a little less, which can improve the air permeability of the soil.
