How do you care for jasmine so it blooms multiple times? The basics must be done carefully

Jasmine: gardeners all know that summer is its blooming season, and once the flowers open, the fragrance is everywhere. However, when caring for jasmine, if gardeners want it to bloom multiple times, the basics must be done "carefully." Below, we explain what basics need to be done well when caring for jasmine.
1. Basic cultivation skills
For potted jasmine, it is best to use a clay pot, and the diameter of the pot must match the size of the jasmine plant; it can be slightly smaller than the diameter of the canopy. For growing jasmine, you can use soil that is loose, breathable, well-draining, and also good at retaining water. A homemade mix can be made by combining 4 parts garden soil, 4 parts humus-rich soil, and 2 parts fine sand. The best time for potting is around Qingming, when the temperature is stable above 10°C.
Potted jasmine should be repotted once every 2-3 years, and repotting can be combined with changing the soil, with the time chosen from late April to early May. At this time, you can remove the fine soil around the roots, remove some old roots and bad roots, and replace with new potting soil.
2. Basic watering skills
Jasmine likes moisture, is not drought-tolerant, and also fears waterlogging. When watering, follow the rule: "Do not water if the potting soil has not turned pale; when watering, water thoroughly." Taking the Jiangnan region as an example, from mid-March to early April, water once every 3-5 days; in April-May, water once every 2-3 days; from late May to early June, water once every 1-2 days; from mid-June to late August, water every day.
If it is too hot, water once each morning and evening, and be sure to promptly pour off accumulated water after showers; from early September to mid-October, water once every 1-2 days; from late October to mid-November, water once every 3-4 days; from late November to early March of the following year, water once every 5-10 days.
3. Basic fertilizing skills
Jasmine likes fertilizer, and fertilizing should be "frequent" and "light." In spring (around Guyu), move the jasmine outdoors and apply a general-purpose organic dilute fertilizer for flowers once every 2-3 days. During bud formation and the first flush of blooms, supplement with some phosphorus fertilizer. By the time of the third flush of blooms, not only should the frequency of fertilizing be reduced, but the proportion of nitrogen fertilizer should also be controlled, and the frequency of applying organic nutrient solution should be increased.
4. Basic pruning skills
Every spring, gardeners can cut the previous year's branches to 10-15 cm from the base; if growth is vigorous, pinch out the growing tips when they reach 10 cm long. Pruning is best done on sunny days, and at the same time, thinning leaves and removing diseased branches can be carried out. In this way, the jasmine will grow more vigorously. Jasmine blooms most abundantly when the plant is 3-6 years old, after which it gradually ages year by year.
