Rose cuttings not rooting? Let me teach you one trick: roots in half a month, flowers within a month, 100 percent survival rate

Roses bloom beautifully and are deeply loved by flower growers, who are eager to try propagating roses from cuttings. In fact, the vermiculite rose cutting method I shared earlier roots very quickly, but some growers still say their rose cuttings always fail. So today let's share a method with a 100 percent survival rate for propagating roses: layering
The advantage of layering is a high survival rate and easy operation. Even a complete beginner can do it very simply, with no risk. Even if the layering fails, we can just layer again.
This is a European rose, 'Tian Fang Ye Tan' (Arabian Nights), and its flowers are extremely beautiful. For the branch we layer, we should choose a semi-lignified branch, not too old and not too young. If it is too old, it will not bend down to the ground easily.
Choose a spot suitable for layering, remove 3 leaves, and use a blade to girdle the rose branch, cutting deeply to the xylem. Be careful not to damage the xylem. Then leave a gap of about 1.5 cm and make another girdling cut, and peel off the bark. The purpose of this girdling is to stop the nutrients in the rose branch from being transported downward first, preparing it for rooting and sprouting.
The outer bark must be peeled off cleanly. If it is not peeled cleanly, the wound will heal and no roots will form.
Bend the rose branch downward, press it to the ground, dig a hole in the ground, and bury the wounded part in it. If we want to layer a potted rose, we can simply layer it directly into another flower pot.
From wound healing to rooting, the rose branch will absorb nutrients from the mother plant, and its own branch will also carry out photosynthesis. So in this way it roots quickly and grows quickly: it will root in half a month and can be transplanted in a month, without affecting that year's flowering.
The disadvantage of layering this way is that you only get one seedling. If you want to get many small seedlings, you can use the branch cutting method. You can choose according to your own situation.
After burying the soil, press a brick on top to prevent the branch from springing up, and keep the soil moist. In this way, it will root in half a month and bloom in a month.
