In the succulent community, nothing is more enviable than parents who love succulents even more than you do,
Today let's take a look at the peach grove and succulent balcony of the succulent lover Nuan Nuan Ai Niu Nai (Warm Love Milk)~
Thanks to the author [Nuan Nuan Ai Niu Nai] for the original share

Ten Miles of Peach Grove
Local succulent lovers and relatives and friends all ask me
Why do you grow so many succulents
Why do you have so many of a certain variety
I used to be a collector who kept only 1 pot of each variety
Until after moving house, when I told my parents I wanted to tidy up the balcony to put succulents
The moment I saw Peach Egg (Graptopetalum amethystinum), I fell for it
And then I often noticed traces of the powder rubbed off the Peach Egg and Pachyphytum (Moonstone) plants
When I said there were too few succulents and the balcony was too empty
My parents agreed that I could grow more of those pink, plump, round succulents
And then my balcony slowly turned into the style shown below
Most are babies I propagated from leaf cuttings last year and this year
Although they are all still small
But looking at them every day
I feel that no matter how tired and hard work is, I can be healed
The other babies can only make do with living beside them
Besides Peach Egg, my dad
His favorite are the Haworthia (twelve) plants at home
I said I don't know how to grow Haworthia
Now he has resolutely taken on the heavy burden of growing Haworthia
Below are some of the Haworthia he grows
Some I bought, and some are free gifts
I feel my dad has a much better mindset than me
Whether bought or free gifts
He treats them all the same
Many succulent lovers also ask about balcony size, lighting conditions,
flower rack materials and such
I looked through my album and found some photos
To share with everyone

My little succulent world
First, let me post a picture of the balcony's current state
The balcony is 3.9 sq m in total
Southwest facing, full sun, ventilation is not bad
I started moving in January 2016
Every time I moved, I carried them over pot by pot like this
And then watched them multiply pot by pot
Actually, at that time I had only been growing succulents for less than 1 year
There were several dozen pots of succulents in total
I started buying, buying, buying, and soon the balcony couldn't hold them anymore
Taking advantage of many people in the neighborhood moving into new homes
I picked up a headboard and fixed it on the balcony railing
It became my very first "flower rack"
I don't know if you can tell from the 3 pictures above
See that wooden board placed underneath
That is the "headboard" I painstakingly carried home
Later, when my dad came home from a business trip, he found I had already filled the balcony
Someone with a cleaning obsession and OCD definitely couldn't stand it
So he decisively made me a real flower rack
Facts proved
This flower rack really wasn't practical on my small balcony
It couldn't satisfy my grand ambitions
So I quietly turned it around and leaned it against the wall
Now soil and pots go underneath, leaf-cutting babies go on top, and it's been in use to this day
In the summer of 2017, my dad came home from a business trip once again
He found the balcony was again so dirty, messy, and crowded
His cleaning obsession and OCD couldn't stand it again
He quietly measured the dimensions and designed a plan
Took apart the old flower rack
(For my dad, my previous various arrangements were very dangerous)
Bought materials and brought them home
Then spent 2 days
Building me a brand-new balcony
Done~
Isn't it a perfect fit?

Having a clean-freak dad like this is also a very good thing
I wonder what your family members' attitudes are toward growing succulents?
Do they approve, oppose, or ignore it? Leave a comment and share quickly!
