Event | June 20, 2018 "Land Detectives - GM Oilseed Rape Contamination Investigation Action @JAPAN"

The Farmers' Federation Food Analysis Center, a civil society organization founded with donations from Japanese farmers and consumers, has long been dedicated to grassroots investigation of volunteer GM oilseed rape growing in the wild in Japan. Its director, Mr. Hatta Sumito, when traveling in Taiwan in the summer of 2016, also conducted his own investigation of soybeans and plants along industrial roads in Kaohsiung and Tainan, revealing that GM soybeans may have taken root in Taiwan.

This June, he will once again pay his own way to come to Taiwan for a second investigation. Taking this rare opportunity, the Campus Lunch Go Non-GMO action team has specially invited him to share his own journey of action. Interested partners are welcome to come and learn about the environmental contamination risks that GM crops may bring!
