Bonsai has a long history in our country. All kinds of bonsai emerge one after another, making people dazzled. Today, the editor will introduce to you a method for growing a kind of bonsai. As long as you follow the steps below, anyone can care for this bonsai. It is said to have the effect of dispelling wind and activating collaterals, and keeping a few more of them is also beneficial. It is the Tie Ma Bian bonsai. Introduction to the Tie Ma Bian bonsai: strong character and highly ornamental!

The difficulty of caring for a Tie Ma Bian bonsai is not too great. This plant has no overly high requirements for soil and has a strong ability to adapt to soil texture. Whether it is acidic soil or alkaline soil, it can adapt. However, if you want to grow a good Tie Ma Bian, you still have to use the soil it likes. Tie Ma Bian relatively prefers slightly acidic, breathable soil rich in nutrients.

People with many years of experience caring for Tie Ma Bian say to use 20% soil, 20% sand grains, plus 30% honeycomb coal particles (which must be crushed), and 30% humus soil. Then, mix these soils evenly together. This kind of soil is the most suitable for the growth of Tie Ma Bian. It likes sunlight and is cold-resistant. It is best to place it in a spot that has sunlight all day long.

Today, what the editor wants to teach everyone is how to handle a Tie Ma Bian wild-collected stump.

1. Clean the soil off the raw stump portion

This is the first step to take, and also a very important one. First, use a bag to cover its root ball; doing this can keep the root ball from being washed away by water during rinsing. After that, add carbendazim or potassium permanganate to water and dilute the medicine. Then, use the diluted medicinal solution to rinse its wounds and remove the bacteria on them. The purpose of doing this is to avoid it being invaded by insects and bacteria.

2. Apply medicine to the cut openings of the raw stump

Generally, choose erythromycin ointment to apply, then seal it with plastic wrap. Doing this can avoid water evaporation. Here, the editor reminds everyone not to apply the medicine to the cut openings on the roots.

3. Add soil when potting

We can find humus soil, sand, and crushed brick particles, then mix them together in a ratio of 2:1:1. Then add them to the flower pot. While adding, water it so the roots stay close to the soil. If you want to retain moisture, you can spread a layer of moss on the soil. This is done to increase the survival rate of Tie Ma Bian.

4. Wrap with film

When wrapping, do not wrap too tightly. If it is too tight, the buds will not easily emerge. In order for the buds to emerge smoothly, you can make a small hole at the position where the buds grow out. This is done to maintain humidity.

5. Cover with a bag

In winter, this is a must, otherwise Tie Ma Bian will be frostbitten. In the other three seasons, whether to cover it or not is up to the owner's choice. Covering with a bag can maintain a stable temperature. If it is in a place where winter is relatively warm, whether to use this method or not is fine; it mainly depends on the temperature. If it is cold, then cover it.
