When growing succulents in summer, you should choose tough ones, such as the following 3 types; they look gorgeous with minimal care! Succulents struggle to get through summer, so when buying succulents in summer, variety selection is also very important. Below, let me recommend 3 very "tough" succulents; even if they cannot develop their best coloration in summer, they are still gorgeous!

1. Monanthes polyphylla, also called "Japanese Komatsu", is a succulent plant in the Crassulaceae family, Aeonium genus. Many friends may think it is very ordinary, but that is because they have not seen it at its most special moment.

Normally it is green; as sunlight duration and temperature difference gradually increase, the color deepens, and in some climates it even turns red. In summer they go dormant because of the high heat, and the whole plant looks like a cabbage, with all the leaves tightly wrapped together, though it still looks quite nice. Many people say they will die after flowering, so they do not dare let them bloom. In fact, you can safely let them bloom; they will not die, only the flowering branches will wither and die, while new shoots will still sprout below. Control watering and give more sun, and the color will become dark brown with a touch of red. Planting a few small ones in a small pot is especially delicate, and they can also be paired with some small succulents.

2. Sedum anglicum is a very easy-to-grow succulent; just water it again after the soil dries out completely. It especially loves sunlight, and with long sunlight hours its color turns an especially charming blue-pink, but the plant becomes shorter and smaller.

It has a very strong ability to propagate. For stem propagation, simply lay the stems flat on breathable, slightly moist soil, and remember to keep it ventilated; they will root very quickly. Remember not to let them go thirsty, or they will easily die. The normal color is blue-green; under strong light, not only does the color become tender pink, but the leaves also become more compact and no longer leggy.

3. Echeveria 'Prism', a succulent plant in the Crassulaceae family, Echeveria genus, easily forms clusters, with leaf tips pointing inward. It is relatively easy to confuse with TP; Prism's leaves are more slender than TP's, TP's leaves are also relatively flat, and Prism's leaves have a curve.

It likes plenty of sunlight, and when the temperature difference increases and it receives sufficient light, it displays beautiful colors. Its growing environment should be cool and dry. It is not cold-tolerant but is drought-tolerant. Propagation can be done by beheading or leaf cuttings.
