New Chinese-style floral art, fully revealing a lingering, evocative beauty

In the past two years, in some hotel and villa soft furnishing projects I have worked on, clients have all shown great interest in the new Chinese style. As for what the new Chinese style is, perhaps every designer has their own interpretation, yet also different understandings.
When it comes to the new Chinese style, one must first understand the Chinese style. The Chinese style is an interior decoration design art style based on the classical palace architecture of the Ming and Qing dynasties. Its composition is mainly reflected in decorative items such as traditional Ming and Qing furniture, floral art, fabric art, and craft ornaments. The colors are mostly red and black, blending the dual qualities of solemnity and elegance.
So where is the "new" of the new Chinese style reflected? What I understand as new lies in the interpretation of cultural meanings with traditional Chinese style against the backdrop of the current era, and it is contemporary design based on a full understanding of contemporary Chinese culture. The new Chinese style inherits the essence of the traditional Chinese style and creates innovation through dialogue and collision with modern trends.
In design, the new Chinese style continues the home accessory concepts of the Ming and Qing periods, distilling their classic elements and simplifying and enriching them. In furniture forms it is more concise and refined, while at the same time breaking the cultural ideas of hierarchy and superiority and inferiority in traditional Chinese spatial layout, and the spatial color scheme is also more relaxed and natural.
Returning to the topic of floral art, the aesthetic connotation of new Chinese-style floral art has profound meaning and possesses classical beauty. Beauty lies in the bones, not the skin; this is an aesthetic concept upheld by Eastern aesthetics. Where flowers and leaves touch, there is full of long reverie and aftertaste.
Chinese people are quite fascinated by "Zen." Nowadays, many floral art training institutions, when teaching Chinese floral art or what is called Eastern floral art, also emphasize Zen spirit, focusing on the "Zen spirit" contained in the work. The work is mainly based on branches and green leaves, with flowers as a supplement; flowers are not many, with emphasis on deep meaning. It is paired with various types of flower vessels such as bottles, plates, bowls, vats, and tubes, emphasizing spirit, form, and meaning.
A delightful floral art work can render the beauty of a space through the natural forms of flowers, or capture the true moment of nature through the blooming and withering of flowers. What it conveys is the residents' interests in life and insights, gaining spiritual resonance of beauty.
The combination of new Chinese-style floral art and home decor is like a perfect encounter, implicit and meaningful, dignified and flourishing.
In terms of form, new Chinese-style floral art breaks away from the piling up of traditional symbols, seeking the rhythmic beauty of Eastern painting, and then combines with contemporary design styles to present an Eastern beauty in the eyes of modern people.
In the colors of floral art, the main tone is mostly neutral gray, elegant and warm, natural and refined, extremely in harmony with the Chinese-style environmental atmosphere.
