My succulent journey began in April 2017. Having kept succulents for only 1 year, I have been following Encyclopedia Jun for quite some time now, and I must check it every single day!

They say I am the type who can't do anything well but never leaves a scrap of food behind. Growing plants? Keeping small animals? No, no, no, that is absolutely not me. I still can't believe I actually have a 12-year-old daughter.

Back to the point. Speaking of how I fell into this hobby, it was quite reluctantly. The company had a pot of Jade Plant (Crassula ovata) that my predecessor (note: this predecessor is not that kind of predecessor) had kept. After she left the job, she didn't take it with her and left it at the company, placed on the office balcony, barely alive, hanging on by a thread of life. The company also had several pots of Spider Plant and Pothos, and the big boss asked me to take care of them all. This... how would I know how? Very reluctantly, I thought that pot of Jade Plant, which was about to die, could still be saved. Mm, I managed to save it. So amazing, now it's growing really well!

Later, on our designer's desk, I saw two pots of succulents she was growing, White Peony (Graptoveria 'Titubans') and Graptopetalum paraguayense. Wow, they were so cute. I fell in love with them right then, so I went online and bought and bought and bought all kinds. I even saw Jade Plant and only then learned that Jade Plant is a type of succulent. I was so happy when they arrived. I spent an entire afternoon potting them, and every day afterward I would just foolishly stare at them, never getting tired of looking! After a mass die-off last summer, I started buying many more again in autumn. Now I have around a hundred pots on the terrace at home and several dozen pots on the company balcony. Today I'll just pick some out at random and ask for everyone's guidance, hehe!

Note: All photos were taken with a mobile phone. Some are without filters, and some are beautified, hahahaha!

This is that pot of Jade Plant that I saved. It's grown very tall now, even though it's a bit ugly!

The only surviving mixed arrangement from last summer! It was so hot, over 40 degrees for several days in a row!

How it looks now! The white one and the yellow one should be Graptosedum 'Francesco Baldi'. They appear in later pictures. I separated them out, and they've filled out, too crowded!

Bought after the New Year this year: Ice Plum hybrid, Echeveria lilacina, Ruby, and Echeveria 'Tippy'!

This is how they looked when I bought them back. So disappointing, so disappointing...

Also bought after the New Year!

This is how they looked when bought back. Ugly as can be!

Breakdown photos

Leaf propagations that survived last summer!

Now they've all grown a lot! Beautiful, beautiful!

Aeonium bought last winter. When it came back it looked absolutely hideous, but thankfully this spring it became beautiful again. Black and bewitchingly gorgeous, black and domineering!

The first batch of veteran Haworthia cooperi. Compared with a year later, it's grown so much bigger!

The newly arrived Haworthia cooperi. Now it's growing crystal-clear and refreshingly cool!

The String of Pearls (Senecio rowleyanus) that died last summer until only one strand was left made a successful comeback this spring and is a full pot again. I switched it to a big tub for it. So happy.

A common cheap one, Graptopetalum paraguayense

Sedum rubrotinctum isn't red. It has always been kept on the windowsill.

Echeveria 'Tianjianzuo'

This is how it looked when bought back. Hehe.

They say it's Echeveria 'Pishilian'

Sedum 'Marcus'

Little Ball Rose (Sedum 'Little Ball Rose'), cute to death

Pachyveria 'Powder Blue'

Echeveria 'Rain Drops'

Echeveria 'Tippy'

Sempervivum tectorum. The pup cut from the mother plant survived, and the mother plant passed away!

There, the mother plant...

The pup has produced pups again! Even though it has always been kept in an instant noodle bowl.

A bunch bought in spring. A cactus meeting!

Monanthes, so unique!

Sedum 'New Jade'

It really is a Phoenix plant. Even with last summer being so hot, it didn't die. Now it's beautiful again. A thumbs up!

Red Apple or Blue Apple

Cotyledon tomentosa subsp. ladismithiensis

Little Bear Baby got badly dropped by Dad. Thank goodness it has now fully recovered. It's a long story!

The green bear at the company. Last summer it dropped until only a few paws were left, and this year it has sprouted lots again.

Little Crayon, I love it so much

Veteran level, a hero that survived last summer! Graptosedum 'Francesco Baldi', I think.

Echeveria 'Yuyanzuo'

Black Claw

Peach Egg & Cheese, so adorable

A child rescued from the office building restroom. At the time it was so pitiful, on the verge of death!

The only pot my husband gave me, Orca

Blue Bean, so, so fragrant!

Chubby Baby Fingers

Luna from Greater Yunnan

Leaf-propagated White Peony

A free gift, and I don't even know what it is!

Although the color has faded, it has grown much bigger. Ignore this ugly chocolate jar.

A bunch of little air plants crashing the party

em... I hope this summer all the succulents can live well!

Seeing this, you thought it was over? Too young, too simple.

Final Easter egg: I now not only grow succulents, but also keep small animals. They are all thoroughly healing little cute creatures, hehe! Here come my three little ones!

Sister Big Hamster (Purple Hamster)

Sister Abu (Pudding)

Brother Li Bai (long-haired ivory white bear hamster)

Big baby Haha Monster

I've written a whole jumble, and I don't even know what I wrote. Everyone just make do and take a look! see you...
