From first falling into the succulent pit a few years ago to now, it has been quite a while. But I still have not grown the beautiful succulents that the masters show off; the ones presentable are very few. From my thirties to turning forty this year, from youth to entering middle age, there are many ties in life, and growing succulents has also almost been stop-and-go over these years. Fortunately, I have still managed to keep going like this.

In the first few years, in this small county town, there were not many places selling succulents. At first I saw a Haworthia cymbiformis var. obtusa 'Jingzhihua Jin' online and was amazed, feeling how could it be so beautiful, and then I started buying and buying, buying succulents, buying pots, buying soil, an endless cycle. I joined various forums and made succulent friends from all sides, and could be happy for a long time over a single leaf.

Gradually, my mother got sick, and my son's transition from primary to middle school was not ideal either, and for a time I entered a neglected period. I was in a particularly bad mood. Looking at the succulents, I kept staring blankly, feeling that life had entered a difficult stage, and I almost gave up. Winter slowly passes, and spring always comes. As I reached the age of no doubts, over these years I gradually became more casual.

Not pleased by external gains, not saddened by personal losses, calmly looking at every process of life. I no longer crazily pursue varieties and quantities like at the beginning; instead, with a calm mood, I accompany the succulents, or the succulents accompany me, through one period after another, whether joyful or difficult...
