This plant is taking the internet by storm; everyone who grows it gets a pot bursting with foliage, so hurry up and grow one too

Pilea cadierei (aluminum plant) is a fairly popular foliage plant these days, loved by many for its strong adaptability, ease of propagation and stunning leaf patterns, so how should you grow it?
1. Growing environment
Pilea cadierei (aluminum plant) likes a warm, humid climate and loose, fertile sandy soil; the ideal growing temperature is 15°C to 25°C, and in winter it must not drop below 5°C.
2. Fertilizer and water
For fertilizer and water management, follow the principle of keeping things moist: keep the potting soil dry without cracking, and moist without being soggy. In summer, misting the leaves often keeps them clean and glossy. In winter, mist the leaves less, otherwise black spots will appear on them, or they may even turn black and rot. During the growing season, apply a nitrogen liquid fertilizer about once every two weeks to keep the plant vigorous. After autumn, apply extra phosphorus and potassium fertilizer to strengthen the stems and prevent lodging.
3. Light
Pilea cadierei (aluminum plant) is an indoor flower with very beautiful leaf color; it is very shade-tolerant but prefers ample light, though in summer you need to shade it. In summer, place the pot by a north-facing window; in winter, move it to a south-facing window. If the light is too dim, the leaf color will fade; if the sunlight is too strong, the leaves will get scorched.
4. Pest and disease prevention
When an old plant becomes straggly and loses its ornamental value, propagate young plants by cuttings to renew it, which can improve its ornamental value. At the same time, it can also reduce pest and disease problems. In poorly ventilated conditions, it is prone to aphid damage. When the potting soil stays muddy for a long time, the roots often rot, so water and soil should be controlled reasonably.
5. Ornamental value
Pilea cadierei (aluminum plant) can absorb toxic substances and can be used as indoor greenery. It is also suitable for growing in newly decorated rooms. Placed in a study or bedroom, it is elegant and pleasant. It can also be hung in front of a window, with its green leaves trailing down, charming and lovely. No matter where it is placed, it is a beautiful sight.
