She spent 16 years turning her home into a Chinese version of Monet's garden

Monet's garden is the former residence of the famous French painter Monet. It consists of two parts, a water garden and a flower garden, and is also called the Normandy garden, attracting many people. But she spent 16 years turning the place where she lives into a Chinese Monet's garden.

She is Zhang Xiaoping. After retiring, she bought a villa of more than 400 sq m and designed this garden herself. Every plant and every tree bears her sweat; from planting to growing to what it is now, it took a full 16 years.

Seen from a distance, the house is surrounded by all kinds of plants; whether tall trees or low flower clusters, all of them encircle the house.

Looking down from above, it is like a house built in nature, surrounded entirely by greenery, with lush green all around, showing the vitality that belongs to nature.

Zhang Xiaoping dreamed of having a garden of her own, so every little detail in the garden is her handiwork. Now she has not only realized it, but has also turned this garden into a Chinese Monet's garden.

From renovation to design, she did everything in the house herself. Some of the small decorations in the garden were also made by her own hands; for example, this bird is actually a painting by her husband Yang Chongguang, and she made it herself.

The flower chair in the picture below is her three-year masterpiece.

Originally it was because this chair was broken, but because its shape is rather unique and she could not bear to throw it away, she used it to grow water lilies. Over three years, she trained and guided it every day, and only then created such a beautiful sight as it is now.

The pruning of the flowers and plants is all done by herself too. Even when she has a cold, she still does not forget to work, and precisely because working makes her sweat, she never goes to the hospital for a cold; once she works up a sweat, it is better.

Flowers can be seen blooming in the yard all year round; you could say there are flowers almost every day. At the time when there were the most varieties, there were more than 800 kinds; now there are six or seven hundred kinds. Even Zhang Xiaoping's mother, who studied horticulture, cannot help saying that she has never seen so many kinds of flowers.

Every flower is cared for especially well by her. Normally, Zhang Xiaoping invites some flower friends over for tea, discusses flowers, and also arranges some seasonal flowers on the table.

And here, even in winter, you can see flowers blooming; even the lawn stays green. Zhang Xiaoping says a garden must be grown by oneself, because unlike an outdoor public green space, it cannot just be put on display.

However, Zhang Xiaoping also has barbecues here normally. She feels that a garden is not an ornament, but a place where she enjoys herself and works, and garden life has already become her main life.

One house, two people, three meals, four seasons, perfectly interpreted by Zhang Xiaoping. In fact, no matter how life is, you still need to have an attitude and try to live a life of quality.
