No matter how good a microbial inoculant is, using it the wrong way just wastes money

A microbial inoculant is a preparation containing large numbers of live beneficial microorganisms. Once these beneficial microorganisms enter the soil, they can improve soil structure and increase fertility, while also inhibiting or killing harmful disease-causing bacteria in the soil, thereby improving plant stress resistance and preventing the occurrence of various soil-borne diseases.
??
However, despite its many advantages, a microbial inoculant also comes with many precautions for use. If you use it blindly without understanding them, you will not achieve the desired results. Below, Yezi explains the precautions for using microbial inoculants.
?
1. Do not sprinkle the inoculant directly on the soil surface. Because it contains live microbial strains, when applying it you should dig a trench, spread it in, cover it with soil, and water it; only then can the activity of these beneficial bacteria be released.
2. The inoculant contains no harmful substances, so when applying it you can place it as close to the plants as possible. This will not cause any harm to the crops and will also help the inoculant do its job.
3. When using a liquid inoculant for foliar feeding, avoid the period of strongest sunlight so that ultraviolet rays do not kill the beneficial microbial strains. Try to spray after 3 p.m.
?
4. Sulfur kills microorganisms, so avoid applying the inoculant in soil with high sulfur content and in rusty paddy fields, and also avoid mixing it with sulfur-containing chemical fertilizers.
5. Avoid mixing microbial fertilizer with insecticides, fungicides, herbicides, or plant ash. These pesticides and fertilizers contain ingredients that can kill biological bacteria. If they must be applied together, there should be a 48-hour interval, but be sure to avoid applying it to seeds that have been treated with fungicide.
