Summer is here, and growing a few herb plants can effectively keep mosquitoes and insects away. If you haven't planted any, that's no problem either - these herbs can survive by simply cutting a segment and placing it in water.

Mint

Mint roots especially easily. Cut a segment of stem from the mint plant, about 7 cm long, keep two or three leaves at the top, then place it in water, with the water covering about 3 cm of the bottom of the stem. Put it in a bright spot with good ventilation, and after a while, roots will grow.

Oregano

Oregano is a fragrant plant, and rooting it in water is very simple too. Cut a segment of its stem, keep two or three leaves on it, place it in water, and put it in a bright spot with good ventilation, keeping the temperature at around 20°C.

Basil

Cut a small segment of basil stem, then keep two leaves at the top, and place it in water. Its growth does not require much light, and during this process you do not need to change the water frequently. After about a week, you will see it rooting.

Rosemary

Cut a segment of rosemary stem, then remove the leaves from the bottom. Put some clay pebbles and water in a bottle, then insert the rosemary stem. It will take about two to three weeks before you see it rooting.

Lemon balm

Rooting lemon balm in water is also very simple. Cut a segment of its stem, keep a few leaves at the top, preferably no more than four leaves, then place it in water. You can give it some appropriate indirect light, and after a while, you will see it rooting.

Actually, rooting these plants is all quite similar. Which one you want to root specifically depends on which plant you, the gardening enthusiast, prefer. If you want to learn more, feel free to leave us a message.
