Fertilize flowers well and they will grow vigorously and easily fill the pot

If you want flowers to grow well, fertilizer is an indispensable and important element. This is also an important reason why we often fail to grow flowers well or why flowers are in poor growing condition. However, many friends do not know when to fertilize plants and what fertilizer to use. Next, let us look at what symptoms appear after flowers lack fertilizer, so that it can help us prescribe the right remedy!
1. Nitrogen deficiency
When nitrogen fertilizer is lacking, flower growth is stunted, the leaves become relatively small, the color is dull, and the leaves also grow relatively sparsely and fall off easily. Because it affects the plant's photosynthesis, it causes poor growth and development of the plant.
2. Phosphorus deficiency
When phosphorus fertilizer is lacking, the plant becomes relatively short, the leaves turn dark green but lose their luster, and various spots easily appear. In the end, they dry up and fall off, which also affects the plant's flowering, leading to no flowering or few flowers.
3. Potassium deficiency
When potassium fertilizer is lacking, abnormal wrinkles easily appear on the plant's leaves, and the leaf edges become scorched as if singed by fire.
4. Iron deficiency
When iron is lacking, the young leaves on the flower branches are easily damaged. Severe iron deficiency easily leads to the most common symptom of yellowing leaves, and in severe cases leaf drop also occurs.
So how can fertilizer be applied well? Generally there are two methods of fertilizing: topdressing and base fertilizer
Base fertilizer: When we repot flowers, we can mix fertilizer with soil, place it at the bottom of the pot, and then plant the flowers and plants on top. In this way, the fertilizer at the bottom of the pot can continuously provide nutrients to the flowers and plants. However, the fertilizer must not come into contact with the flower roots.
Topdressing: Topdressing is fertilizing during the plant's growing period. When topdressing, try not to place the fertilizer too close to the root system, to avoid burning the plant. After fertilizing, loosen the soil and water in time.
Usually, fertilizing should emphasize applying small amounts more often. It is better to apply a little less each time and fertilize several more times. Do not seek convenience. Generally, too much fertilizer at one time will cause unnecessary harm to the plant.
