No need to envy the distant scenery; use the time you would spend chasing scenery to quietly stay home and create scenery. When spring arrives and flowers bloom, you will be given a riot of brilliant colors!

In the morning, as the sun rises, the succulents slowly awaken with last night's dew still on them. These leaves, resembling flowers yet not flowers, are eternal flowers!

Enduring the loneliness of winter, one finally gains the splendor of March. The four seasons cycle and the stars shift. The most beautiful season for succulents has arrived. With the blue sky as canvas and sunlight as paint, the ten-li spring breeze delivers a colorful stretch of sky. Compared to fleeting, delicately gorgeous flowers, the beauty of succulents lies in their leaves, in their simple, vigorous and powerful stems and branches. As time passes, they gradually settle into restrained elegance. There is a kind of beauty called succulents, a kind of nourishment called time, and a kind of solitude that is being accompanied by succulents.

Peach, a free gift from a Yunnan seller, Rainbow Candy, last year. The ugly duckling has become a white swan

Various Aeoniums

Narrow-leaf Aeonium

Round-leaf Aeonium

The Green Velvet sent by a certain sister, and the original Velvet rescued back indoors before last winter's freeze.

Purple Velvet, rescued by beheading and stem cuttings before its mother black-rotted and perished last year before summer. The life of a plant can also continue, and one cannot help but feel deep respect for succulents.

Mirror Lion or Crown Disc, also rescued by beheading and stem cuttings before its mother black-rotted and perished.

Yulong Guanyin

Black Ebony Echeveria, a gift from a certain sister who parted with it out of love. It has successfully survived the summer and endured the cold winter, and this spring it has grown gracefully slender.

Laur

Violet Queen, I love succulents with a thin icy edge, crystal clear and translucent, making one want to cherish them.

Ice Plum, also with a thin icy edge

Also love pink tips, Peach

Chihuahua

Sarojihime Peony

Blue Echeveria

Alpine Moonlight, could it be a sprite transformed from snow lotus on the Alps? Unassuming and unshowy, a scene of quiet beauty!

Blue Echeveria

Blue Surprise

Blue Surprise, the same succulent showing different beauty at different times.

Wax Peony

Lily Lily, homophonically suggesting a harmonious union lasting a hundred years. A hundred years should mean forever. People are always in tremendous awe of the word forever, so they are especially fond of Lily Lily, and I have kept many of them over time.

Nuchu, it grew ugly over last summer, and became beautiful again this spring

Ji Longyue, accompanied me through two cycles of four seasons!

Ji Qiuli, last winter on the rooftop it was several degrees below zero. The tiny leaves formed icy particles. I thought it would freeze to death, but when the sun came out it transformed into an even more beautiful little sprite.

Not all flowers bloom to wait for fruit, and not all effort demands reward. Growing succulents also cultivates the heart, tranquil as this, keeping company with contentment. I cut the 2018 flower stalks and placed them in flower pots for hydroponics; another form of existence is also beautiful.

The Little Blue Robe's flower stalk is too beautiful; a spring I cannot bear to cut away.

The sun sets in the west, the morning clouds hold the moon, and I finally photographed the succulents under the moonlight. The sunset glow and the bright moon are equally beautiful, and the succulents and the vast sky share one color.

Ji Longyue

Night falls... when the lights of ten thousand homes are lit, the succulents are like stars scattered across the sky, glittering with light, silently wordless, rejoicing in quietness!

Do not envy the scenery in other people's lenses; in fact, this is just a simple succulent shed set up on a public rooftop platform. Do not look up to others; you yourself are also scenery..
