At the start of June, rose flowers bloom big and bold, incomparably lovely. Many flower lovers have no idea where to start when they first grow roses, so every plant they grow dies. Today the editor will explain in detail which aspects beginners should pay attention to when growing roses, and how to grow them so that every pot blooms profusely.

First is the choice of rose variety, because most roses are large climbing types. If you do not have enough space at home but still want to grow them, it is recommended to choose small ones, such as Sweet Carousel, Arabian Nights, and so on. Flower lovers with a yard can choose climbing types.

When a rose is first bought, it is a bare-root seedling with a single stem. When planting, if conditions allow, you can soak the roots in rooting powder for half an hour before planting. For potted plants, use relatively fine soil. After planting, be sure to press the soil firm, then water. Roses must be watered thoroughly. Only this way can it better help rooting and sprouting!

Roses like a ventilated and breathable environment, which includes both loose, breathable soil and good ventilation around the whole plant. To achieve loose, breathable soil, when mixing soil for roses we can use nutrient soil, coarse river sand, and vermiculite in a 7:2:1 ratio. Before potting, first spread a layer of ceramsite or crushed brick at the bottom of the pot, then use the mixed soil to plant the rose. This can further improve the overall ventilation and drainage of the potting soil!

After May comes the vigorous growth period for roses. By June, when the weather gradually gets hot, the amount of fertilizer must be controlled well. Water with only as much as the rose can absorb; do not apply too much, as it easily causes the rose roots to suffocate.

If you do all of the above well, a newly acquired rose can basically survive. Planting some roses and rose flowers in a yard or on a balcony is wonderful; they have very bright and charming flowers, with rich varieties and many flower colors. Planting one or two pots can fill the whole home with brilliance. Flower lovers who have not yet grown them can go ahead and grow them.
