From its appearance, the Jade Plant's leaves are plump and fleshy, just like a chubby child's arms, and it even has nicknames such as "chubby baby" and "succulent evergreen." Therefore it carries the meanings of "auspiciousness," "wealth," and "nobility." Many plant lovers choose to keep a pot at home. Although many people grow Jade Plants, many people fail to grow them well, often killing them or having them stay stunted for a long time. So, how should a Jade Plant be grown?

In early spring each year, the Jade Plant needs its potting soil changed. The potting soil must ensure good drainage and be loose and breathable. You can choose to mix leaf mold, garden soil, coarse sand, bone meal, and plant ash together.

The Jade Plant's optimal growing temperature is between 20 and 30 degrees. In spring and autumn, this is especially suitable for its growing season, and it can be placed in sunlight, with 4-5 hours of sunlight per day being best. But in summer, when the temperature is relatively high, it needs to be shaded and must not be placed in direct sunlight. When the temperature is above 38 degrees, it will enter a slow-growth period, and at this time you must be especially careful to avoid waterlogging.

Many people may have grown Jade Plants for decades without ever seeing one bloom, while some people's Jade Plants bloom every year. So is there any trick to making a Jade Plant bloom?

In fact, to make a Jade Plant bloom, you only need to remember two points:

One,From late winter to late spring, let the Jade Plant get as much sun as possible. The Jade Plant itself is a succulent plant from Africa and rather likes sunlight, and its flowering period is in spring, so before the flowering period begins, it must not lack sunlight.

Two,When repotting in early spring, add some base fertilizer, with phosphorus-rich bone fertilizer being best. In addition, apply a dilute monopotassium phosphate liquid fertilizer once every half month.

When winter comes, it is best to move it back indoors to a place with plenty of light, such as a south-facing balcony, and the room temperature must be kept no lower than 7 degrees. Except for summer, when it needs shading, at other times it can be placed in an environment with plenty of light.

Overwatering causing waterlogging and root rot is one of the main reasons many plant lovers kill their Jade Plants. During the Jade Plant's growing season (late spring to early summer and autumn), watering it once every three or four days is enough. You must be careful that the potting soil does not stay wet for a long time, and avoid waterlogging.

In summer, watering should be controlled, and good ventilation should be maintained, otherwise it can easily cause leaf drop. In winter, the Jade Plant will enter dormancy, the potting soil should be kept dry, and watering should be kept to once every one to ten days.

During its growing season, applying decomposed dilute cake liquid fertilizer two or three times a month is enough. Too much fertilizer will cause leggy growth.

In fact, the Jade Plant is still quite easy to care for. The most important thing is to use the right method and adjust the watering frequency according to the seasonal temperature. (The Jade Plant is a lazy person's plant, so never water it too frequently. If you do not water frequently, it is actually hard to kill it.
