There are many common ornamental green plants, such as Schefflera, rubber plant, money tree, pennywort, and so on. Summer is coming, and to care for these flowers and plants, you need to know the key points so they stay lush and vibrant and achieve a better decorative effect.

Schefflera

Schefflera has a strong ability to adapt to the environment and vigorous vitality, and its leaves are glossy and shiny. It is an ideal potted plant for decorating the home. When caring for Schefflera in summer, you must pay special attention, otherwise it will also die.

Schefflera is relatively drought-tolerant, but at the same time it likes higher air humidity, and the potting soil must be kept moist. As soon as you find that the soil has not dried out completely, water it promptly.

Moreover, Schefflera grows relatively quickly, so a liquid fertilizer should be applied once every 15 days; only then will its leaves be more emerald green and glossy, and not turn yellow!

Because Schefflera grows too fast, it needs frequent pruning. For densely growing branches, old branches, diseased branches, and yellowing leaves, all should be cut off promptly to avoid consuming too many nutrients.

Rubber plant

The rubber plant has tall and upright branches and stems, and its leaves are glossy and shiny, evergreen through the four seasons, and it is very popular. When caring for the rubber plant in summer, what should you pay attention to?

Usually, place the rubber plant in a position with sufficient light, pay attention to ventilation, and you can choose loose, fertile, well-drained sandy soil.

But starting in June, the temperature is higher and the sunlight is relatively strong, so it can be placed in a bright, indirectly lit spot. In this way, it does not need to be moved repeatedly and will not be exposed to direct sunlight.

During the growing season, apply a low-concentration liquid fertilizer once every 20 days, which can make the plant lush and the leaves more emerald green with a stronger gloss.

Money tree

The money tree is evergreen through the four seasons, with emerald green and lush leaves, and has a strong decorative effect. It also carries the beautiful meaning of attracting wealth and bringing in riches, making it an ideal potted plant for decorating the home.

The money tree is relatively drought-tolerant. In summer, water it once a day and spray water on the leaves to maintain humidity, making the leaves even more jade-green and bright.

The money tree does not have high light requirements. Summer sunlight is relatively strong, so it can be placed in a bright, indirectly lit spot, which will allow it to grow well. When the weather is hot in summer, reduce fertilization.

Pennywort

Pennywort has smooth, round leaves and a strong gloss, and is evergreen through the four seasons. It can be grown hydroponically or in soil, and the effect of decorating balconies and windowsills is very strong.

When caring for pennywort in summer, pay attention to two points: light and water. It can be placed in a place with sufficient sunlight, but it should be shaded at noon.

For soil-grown pennywort, water once a day. For hydroponic pennywort, make sure the water level in the bottle covers the roots; otherwise, the leaves of the pennywort are prone to wilting and withering, affecting the ornamental effect.
