Don't know how to water plants? Try these easy-to-grow plants

1. Aloe Vera
A perennial herbaceous plant, it is drought-tolerant and afraid of waterlogging. Back when I was on summer vacation, I didn't water it for two months, and when school started in September, I gave it a little water and it came back to life. Note that aloe vera is afraid of cold; it stops growing at around 5°C, and if the temperature drops below 0°C, it will suffer frost damage. The most suitable temperature for growth is 15-35°C.
2. Succulents
Succulents are higher plants with thickened vegetative organs, usually having three vegetative organs - roots, stems and leaves - as well as flowers. There are more than 10,000 species of succulents worldwide, and the most common types at present are those in the Crassulaceae and Cactaceae families. The watering principle is to water when dry and let dry between waterings; water thoroughly, do not expose to strong sun after watering, and place in a low-light, cool spot.
Among them, the "desert hero flower" - the cactus - should not be watered right after planting; wait until it has taken root and sprouted before watering. Water thoroughly each time, and do not water much normally, to avoid water accumulating in the planting soil. The simplest way to check is: when you pinch the soil and it cannot form a ball, it is time to replenish water promptly.
3. ZZ Plant
A perennial evergreen herbaceous plant, a rare foliage plant with underground tubers. It likes warm, hot and slightly dry, semi-shaded environments with small annual average temperature fluctuations. It is drought-tolerant, but afraid of cold, averse to strong direct sunlight, and afraid of heavy, sticky soil and water accumulating in the pot. If the pot soil has poor drainage and aeration, it can easily lead to tuber rot.
4. Spider Plant
Spider plant likes warm, humid, semi-shaded environments. It is highly adaptable, relatively drought-tolerant, not cold-tolerant, and has no strict soil requirements; it grows better in well-draining, loose and fertile sandy soil. Because the spider plant's fleshy roots can store a large amount of water, it will not dry out and die even if not watered for several days. At 5°C in winter, water less and do not let the pot soil get too wet, otherwise the leaves will turn yellow.
5. Purple Heart
This is Tradescantia pallida. It has strong adaptability to drought and will not die even without watering for many days. It is also especially easy to grow. Cuttings taken from branches and inserted in water or soil both root easily. There is also its relative, Tradescantia (spiderwort), which is also an especially easy-to-grow plant, seen everywhere along roadsides, with pale blue-purple flowers.
6. Kalanchoe
Its flowering period lasts more than 4 months, which is where the name "longevity flower" comes from. It has rich flower colors and is a beloved indoor potted flower. It likes warm, slightly humid and sunny environments, is not cold-tolerant, and as a succulent plant it contains a lot of water in its body, is relatively drought-tolerant, and does not need much watering.
7. Peperomia
It likes warm, humid, semi-shaded environments. The minimum temperature must not be lower than 10°C. It is not tolerant of high temperatures and requires relatively high air humidity. It should be kept away from direct sunlight, and needs loose, fertile, well-draining moist soil. During the growing period from May to September, water more; when the weather is hot, spray or sprinkle water on the leaf surface to keep the leaves' clear patterns and emerald green leaf color.
8. Desert Rose
Actually, this plant does not grow in desert regions, and it has no close relationship or similarity to roses. It is a plant in the Apocynaceae family. It likes high temperatures, dry conditions and sunny environments, tolerates extreme heat, and is not cold-tolerant. During the growing period, avoid humid environments. Before each watering, you must make sure the surface of the pot soil is completely dry. Never water during the dormant period; otherwise, it can easily suffer cold damage and wither.
9. Snake Plant
Watering should be moderate; do not let it get too wet. Snake plant is a desert plant and can withstand harsh conditions and long droughts. If watered too frequently, the leaves turn white and the markings and color fade. From spring to autumn it grows vigorously, so water adequately. During the winter dormant period, control watering and keep the soil dry. When watering, avoid pouring into the leaf rosettes, and avoid water accumulation, so as to prevent rot that causes the leaves to fold over below.
10. Chinese Evergreen
It likes warm, humid environments, is shade-tolerant, averse to direct sunlight, and not cold-tolerant. In winter, the overwintering temperature should not be lower than 12°C. It is highly shade-tolerant, averse to direct sunlight, and requires loose, fertile, well-draining slightly acidic soil. It has relatively strong drought tolerance and will not suffer major damage if not watered in time, so it is relatively easy to care for and generally will not die.
