How to fertilize a jade plant? Master the techniques to easily grow it into an old trunk

The jade plant (Crassula ovata) has an antique charm and a vigorous, powerful form. Its glossy green leaves are highly textured and very ornamental. The jade plant also blooms, producing small white or pale pink flowers. So how do you grow a jade plant into an old trunk? Fertilizing is key. Below we introduce the jade plant's fertilizing techniques!
Fertilizing techniques for the jade plant:
(1). During the growing season, the jade plant needs topdressing; fertilize 2~3 times per month, using decomposed diluted cake liquid fertilizer.
(2). In spring, fertilize once every 10~15 days, combined with watering; generally water once every 3 days. In autumn, the fertilizing method is the same as in spring.
(3). Summer: with the high temperatures of summer, the jade plant enters a semi-dormant period, so stop fertilizing. In winter, stop fertilizing; from Frost's Descent through the entire winter, fertilizing must be stopped.
(4). When planting or repotting in spring, apply sufficient base fertilizer. You can use decomposed organic fertilizer, such as chicken manure, bone meal and cake fertilizer mixed evenly into the soil as base fertilizer. The soil should be loose, fertile and well-drained; after repotting, place it in a spot with direct light for care.
(5). Generally, after pruning, do not fertilize too heavily, because the plant's shape should be kept attractive; otherwise the jade plant will grow leggy.
(6). Fertilize the jade plant 2~3 times a year, mainly with nitrogen, and the concentration must not be too high; it is generally recommended to do this during the peak growing season.
