Why won't the jasmine bloom?

In the situation shown in the picture, the reason it won't bloom is that it has too many buds and too many branches. The nutrient supply is insufficient, because the small pot limits the nutrients in its soil. If nutrients cannot be replenished in time, when it wants to bloom it cannot get enough nutrients to supply it, so the buds that appear cannot open, and it may even drop its buds.

You can absolutely fertilize jasmine when it is forming buds. If we see lots of buds appearing on the jasmine branches, at this time we must replenish fertilizer for it in time. If fertilizer is insufficient, its flowers will not be able to open. When fertilizing it, use phosphorus and potassium fertilizer. Phosphorus fertilizer promotes its flowers to mature and open quickly. Potassium fertilizer promotes thick, strong roots. It helps nutrients be absorbed quickly. During this period, keep fertilizing it until its buds gradually show white and are about to take shape and bloom, then stop fertilizing.

After it finishes blooming, prune it in time. Do not keep too many branches; as far as possible keep two sets of leaves from the bottom and cut off all the rest. Thin out the inner branches appropriately; cut off all the overly dense and thin, weak branches inside. After cutting these branches, it helps concentrate the nutrient supply. It can recover quickly. After pruning is complete, its side buds sprout directly from the top two pairs of leaves. If you do not prune away the overly dense ones, fewer side buds will appear. After pruning them away, every branch will produce two or even more side buds. When the time comes, there will only be more flowers, not fewer. Because it recovers quickly, once the nutrient supply is concentrated, it produces more side buds than if you did not prune and let it keep too many branches. If it starts growing side buds before it has fully recovered, it may cause some branches to die back, or only a few side buds to grow. It will only get worse the more you grow it.

After pruning is complete, at this time use a multi-element mixed fertilizer for the first time to replenish the other trace elements missing from its potting soil. After about ten days, use phosphorus and potassium fertilizer again to replenish it and promote a second bloom. During these ten days of replenishing with multi-element mixed fertilizer, it will only recover its branches. Once the side buds have sprouted, use phosphorus and potassium fertilizer in time to replenish it; this can promote it to bloom a second time. Once every ten days, and keep this up continuously until its buds have formed, then stop fertilizing. Just let it bloom. During this period, the light must be sufficient, and water must not be lacking. Blooming multiple times and growing jasmine well is just this simple.
