Gardenia, also known as yellow gardenia, is an evergreen shrub with foliage that stays green year-round and a pleasant fragrance, making it an important ornamental garden flower. Gardenia thrives in slightly acidic soil, especially in the north, where the soil and water tend to be alkaline, which very easily causes the plant to develop iron-deficiency yellow leaves.

Previously we recommended using ferrous sulfate to improve the soil quality, but today we recommend a very inexpensive item to treat iron-deficiency yellow leaves in gardenia.

Dilute table vinegar at 15~2000 and water the roots with it - this can effectively treat yellow leaves caused by soil alkalization in gardenia, or spray it on the leaves once or twice a week. In fact, watering flowers with table vinegar not only treats iron-deficiency yellow leaves in gardenia, but also prevents pests and controls ants and other diseases and insect pests, making it green and eco-friendly.

During use, control the ratio well - if the concentration is too high, it can easily burn the plant, and the loss outweighs the gain. Gardenia thrives in loose, fertile, well-draining acidic soil.
