The world's flowers and plants are endlessly varied and strange, some smell fragrant, and of course there are also plants that smell bad. The flower introduced today has a really odd smell, and to put it exaggeratedly, it is as unpleasant as the odor of a bathroom, yet many people like it!

Its name is Chinese glory bower (Clerodendrum bungei), also known as Dahongpao, and also called purple peony. Its flower color is purple-pink, and the blooms are bright and beautiful, with very strong ornamental effect. Its flowering period is from July to November, as long as five months, and the flowering period is relatively long!

But there is also a reason it is called Chinese glory bower. Its plant gives off a foul smell, so why do so many people like it?

Because not only are its flowers bright and beautiful, but its roots, stems and leaves can also be used medicinally and can treat many diseases, such as common eczema, toothache, joint pain, rheumatic arthralgia, high blood pressure and so on. It has very high economic value and ornamental value!

Many people plant it in courtyards or grow it in pots placed on terraces, giving a highly ornamental effect!

It has strong adaptability to the environment and vigorous vitality, and often grows on hillsides and wasteland. Apart from Northeast China, it is found throughout the country. It is a plant that is very easy to care for!

If you want to grow it in a pot, choose loose soil with good drainage, and of course you can also add a small amount of organic base fertilizer.

Also place it in a sunny and well-ventilated spot. It will also grow well in a semi-shaded environment.

To promote growth, in May and June you can apply a slow-release compound fertilizer once every ten days, for 2 to 3 times in a row, which can make the branches and leaves dense and keep the flowers coming without interruption!

Although Chinese glory bower has a somewhat foul smell, it has strong ornamental value and can also be used medicinally, making it a very well-rounded plant. If you do not mind its smell, you can also plant one!

A jasmine just bought and brought home, in less than 3 days, was grown like this by my husband. The buds fell off and the leaves dried up too!

This stuff, one bag can last 3 years, used to grow gardenias, jasmine, Chinese roses and so on, and the blooming cannot be stopped!

Snake plant (Sansevieria) is the easiest to grow. Break off a leaf and propagate 10 pots. Water once every 7 days, and it grows like crazy, impossible to stop!
