The four potted plants my boss keeps at home are amazingly useful, no wonder he became a boss

A few days ago I was invited to my boss's home as a guest, and I had the good fortune to taste his wife's cooking, which was quite a treat. Turns out the dishes were actually made by their nanny, oh well, but the taste really rivaled that of a star chef. After dinner I secretly snooped around my boss's home, and besides the gorgeous decor, what caught my eye most were the potted plants placed around the house, because they all looked very carefully chosen. But I couldn't recognize them right away, and just as I was about to ask him and slip in a few flattering words, the boss himself started eagerly talking about the origins of his plants. Only then did I realize how useful they are, no wonder he became a boss.
1. Small potted Norfolk Island pine (Araucaria heterophylla)
The shape of this potted plant is very unique, and it carries the meaning of "smooth sailing." Keeping such a little thing at home not only brings out a very elegant overall atmosphere, but also raises the class a notch or two. The boss said this kind of small potted plant isn't hard to care for, and if it were, he wouldn't have the time for it.
2. Potted marigold (Tagetes erecta)
From the name alone you can roughly tell what this plant symbolizes: longevity without end. A pot of these flowers at home can also help keep mosquitoes away. The boss said his wife got this one, and there are many of them placed on the balcony, with very beautiful colors.
3. Money tree (Pachira aquatica)
This tree is the main plant in the boss's home, very eye-catching, and very pretty too.
4. Lucky bamboo (Dracaena sanderiana)
Together with the money tree, it symbolizes flourishing wealth. I figure, keeping this kind of plant at home, even setting aside their symbolism, can actually lift your mood, which is itself a way of boosting your luck. People often say, keep smiling and good fortune will come naturally. When I get home, I'm going to plant these kinds of plants too.
