The fig is a very popular fruit, but in many places there are no fig trees, so it is hard for us to eat fresh figs. Most of the time the figs we eat are dried figs, which means we miss out on a really wonderful fruit experience. But today we are going to teach you a very interesting method, so that we can grow figs on our own balcony or in our yard. What's more, our potted figs can not only bear figs, but the figs are also very delicious, not losing out at all to the fresh figs you buy!

A yard is the best place to grow figs, and it is still quite a bit better than a balcony! Today we will talk about the detailed steps for growing figs. It is actually very simple; just do the following steps well and your potted fig will easily bear fruit! With potted figs, just do "this" well, and you will have more "figs" than you can eat every year. Please see the steps below

Steps:

Step one: Treat the sapling

We take out the fig sapling we bought. Do not use the poor-quality little pot it came with; we need a slightly larger flower pot, so that there is enough soil to provide nutrients for the fig!

First, we rinse the fig sapling clean with a small spray bottle, wash the roots clean too, and remove the soil it came in. We need to prevent the sapling seller from tampering with the soil. Then soak the roots in a potassium permanganate solution, take them out after 10 minutes, rinse them clean with clean water, and then leave them in a ventilated place to dry.

Step two: Transplanting

We choose a slightly larger flower pot, then fill the pot with leaf mold soil, and mix some organic fertilizer into the leaf mold soil at the bottom. Chicken manure and sheep manure are both very good organic fertilizers. If you cannot collect them yourself, you can also buy organic fertilizer online. Just like growing other potted plants, plant the fig sapling in.

Watering

The fig is a plant that relatively likes a humid climate, but it is also drought-tolerant. Following a watering method of "alternating dry and wet" is very good; it is a very good way to promote root development in the fig tree. During the fruiting period, we need to keep the soil moist at all times.

However, we cannot let water accumulate, so our soil should be a relatively permeable type. We also do not need to water too frequently; even if it dries out, water must not accumulate.

Fertilizer

If you want the fig tree to grow big and well and then also bloom and bear fruit, then fertilizer is definitely indispensable. We need to use a ternary compound fertilizer once a month, or huoshi fertilizer. If it reaches the fruiting period, we need potassium dihydrogen phosphate twice a month to promote fruit formation, because figs have no flowers. Once we see fruit buds, we should start treating it as the fruiting period!

From time to time we need to give the fig some organic fertilizer. This organic fertilizer is very necessary, so that it can bear fruit that we can eat!

This is how to grow potted figs at home. If we take good care of them and give enough organic fertilizer, we just need to sit back and wait for the figs to set fruit and ripen. That way we can sit in the yard eating figs and enjoying the flowers!

Friends, have you been amazed by this kind of potted fig? If you also have the idea of growing figs on a balcony or in a yard, then hurry up and bookmark, like, and share it!
