As summer arrives, the weather is getting hotter and hotter. Friends have surely increased the amount of water they give their flowers, but this has caused the flowers to die. Some people say they cannot understand it, so we need to introduce watering knowledge for various flowers.

1. Radermachera sinica (China doll)

Radermachera sinica likes hot and humid environments. If it is a relatively small plant, watering once about every three days is enough; if it is a larger plant, then watering once a week is enough. On ordinary days, spray water on the leaves once in the morning and once in the evening. If two weeks have passed, you can add some chemical solution to the water, which will produce a better effect.

2. Gardenia (Gardenia jasminoides)

It is a plant that likes moisture. If summer is this dry, it must be given more water. If grown outdoors, water once a day; if grown indoors, once every two days is enough. But if you are in a relatively dry area, you must constantly pay attention to replenishing water, otherwise the flowers will easily shrivel.

3. Money tree (Pachira aquatica)

Friends generally have this at home. It has a good meaning and is easy to keep alive, cheap and attractive to look at. The money tree is most likely to die in summer. Everyone thinks summer is very hot and dry, so they desperately water it to keep the plant sufficiently hydrated, but the money tree has one characteristic: its root system is not well developed, so overwatering can cause its death. Its roots and stems have a strong water-storage capacity, so it does not need constant replenishment. Too much pampering will instead have a negative effect. So what should be done? In terms of frequency, once or twice a month is enough. If possible, try to water it thoroughly in one go and cover the whole pot, otherwise the top is moist but the bottom actually still has no water, and the effect will be poor. We can put a small amount of rotted leaves and the like under the flowerpot. These things help make the plant more breathable and comfortable, make it easier for water to pass through, and replenish water.

4. Copper grass (Lysimachia nummularia)

Copper grass is also a plant that likes a humid environment. In summer it easily suffers from lack of water, causing the stems to shrivel, and the leaves have no moisture and become dull and lose their color. Regarding knowledge about watering it, what we need to understand is that the water in the flowerpot used to grow copper grass must cover the soil. If it does not reach this amount, it will easily suffer from lack of water, so be sure to increase water replenishment.

5. Chinese rose (Rosa chinensis)

For Chinese roses, pay attention to the choice of soil. If the soil has very good air permeability, then place it in a place with very good air circulation. In summer, when the weather is so muggy, we should generally water once a day.

If the household is relatively busy and cannot take care of it every day, then the frequency can also be appropriately reduced, for example watering once every two to three days, which is also fine. If you live in a relatively humid environment, where it often rains or is cloudy, then not watering is also fine. Make practical changes according to changes in the weather.

6. Pothos (Epipremnum aureum)

Summer is the season when pothos grows most vigorously, and it needs relatively more water, but in actual situations we usually grow pothos indoors, so there will not be the problem of direct sun exposure. The temperature will not be too high, so the amount of evaporation will not be too large. Therefore, even in summer, watering only once every three days is enough. If someone in the household also keeps fish, the dirty water changed out from the fish tank can also be used, because it contains certain nutrients and is helpful for plant growth.

7. Spider plant (Chlorophytum comosum)

Spider plant is also a flower we often keep, with a very high popularity rate, and almost every household has one. It has relatively many leaves, so its evaporation is also relatively large. Summer temperatures are very high, and evaporation will also become higher accordingly, so the watering frequency should be increased. It is also grown indoors, so similarly once every three days is very suitable.

Transpiration increases, and the leaves will become dry, so we should pay attention to replenishing moisture on the leaves. Not only should the soil be watered, but water should also be sprinkled on the leaf surface. This can reduce the phenomenon of dull leaves. Do not casually pour out the water used at home each day after rinsing rice; it can be used to water flowers and is also very good nutrients. It can make spider plant leaves grow more luxuriant and beautiful.

8. Clivia (Clivia miniata)

This is a plant very afraid of heat. When the temperature reaches or exceeds 30°C, it will enter a semi-dormant state. In summer, the weather in our country is generally high-temperature, especially in developed cities, where the temperature will be higher due to various factors. The emergence of the urban effect

makes our summer weather hotter and hotter now, so friends who keep this flower at home should pay attention. When it enters a semi-dormant state, its other functions will decrease, so it does not need so much water; it cannot evaporate it all, so once every ten days is very appropriate. Also pay attention to air circulation, otherwise in a humid environment where air circulation cannot occur, the plant will rot.

9. Kalanchoe (Kalanchoe blossfeldiana)

Kalanchoe also has a very good meaning, so elderly people like it very much. It is a plant that likes coolness and dislikes high temperatures, and it also enters a dormant period in summer. If conditions permit, it is best to put it indoors for growing, and do not water it too much. Wait until it begins to shrivel a little, then replenish enough water all at once, since it is still in its dormant period.
