This thing is something we are all too familiar with. It is not only a seasoning in our kitchen but also a nutritional supplement in our daily life. It has a sterilizing effect, but I wonder if you have noticed that it can not only be eaten but also used to water flowers and fertilize them. This is garlic.

Today, I will share with you one by one the methods I use garlic for to supplement nutrients for orchids during my orchid-growing process. Moreover, using garlic to care for orchids gives you lush branches and leaves, no pests, and no diseases. It is a rare low-cost material for caring for orchids that you can easily obtain.

First, it can make orchids sprout young shoots. Wash the garlic, peel it, cut it into relatively thin slices, and pour the garlic and clean water into a sealed plastic bottle at a ratio of 1:4. Soak for 3-4 hours, pour the garlic water into a spray bottle, and apply it to the orchid leaves and young shoots, and the orchid's young shoots will sprout very quickly.

Second, garlic is also a sterilization expert for orchids. Chop the garlic, put it into a bowl, and pour soapy water and clean water into the bowl at a ratio of 1:2. Stir the three together, then filter, take the nutrient solution, put it into a spray bottle, and spray it directly on the orchid leaf surface. This works very well for orchids infected with pathogens.

Third, garlic is also a guardian of the flowers. That is, after cutting the garlic into small granules, use a small shovel to loosen the soil in the orchid pot, evenly sprinkle the chopped garlic into the orchid's potting soil, and then cover it with growing medium. Remember, never sprinkle garlic directly on the orchid's roots, as this will cause root burn and, in severe cases, lead to the death of the orchid.

Doing this can not only be used as flower fertilizer but also effectively remove ants, earthworms, nematodes, and other pests harmful to orchids. It can make orchids grow more vigorously, and by doing this, you even save money on flower fertilizer. Thank you for taking your precious time out of your busy schedule to patiently read this.
