What to Do When Plant Leaves Wilt? Find the Right Cause and Treat It for a Fast Recovery

If the leaves of your plants have wilted, what should you do? Wilting leaves are not necessarily caused by a lack of water; they are generally caused by the following situations.
When you notice that the leaves have wilted, the first thing to do is check the potting soil. If the potting soil is completely dry, the wilting is caused by a lack of water. You can simply water it thoroughly. After watering thoroughly, its leaves will perk up again within two to three hours. If it has been wilting for a fairly long time, it will need some time to recover, and it may take even longer.
When checking the potting soil, if the potting soil is wet, then the wilting leaves may be caused by damage to its root system, that is, your overwatering has caused its roots to rot. At this point, we should quickly replace all of its potting soil. Then wash out its roots and check them to see whether the roots are rotting. If there is rot, quickly soak them in carbendazim, cut off all the rotten roots, and replant in fresh soil. After repotting, cut off part of the branches. This helps it grow new roots quickly and recover quickly.
If the potting soil is still wet, there is another situation, usually at midday during the high-temperature summer season. At noon, direct sunlight and exposure are very intense. Because of the high temperature and low air humidity, the plant's leaves wilt, which is just like a person who is hot, sweating, listless, and suffering from heatstroke, the same idea. We can move it to a place with slightly weaker light. Splashing water on the ground or increasing the air humidity can help it recover. If it wilts at noon, you can also leave it alone; after the temperature drops in the evening when ventilation is good, it will perk up on its own.
There is another kind of wilting: you have just repotted it and its roots were damaged. Because the root system's absorption function is weakened and it cannot absorb too much water, it is normal for its leaves to wilt. Only when the roots have grown well and absorption returns to normal can it recover. During this period, we should put it in a ventilated place and try to spray water on it every day so the leaves can absorb some water, and the wilting of its leaves will be reduced.
If there are no conditions such as rotten leaves on the plant's leaves, the wilting is generally caused by the above three situations. Treat the cause accordingly; once you notice it, just solve it promptly according to the situation.
