Large plants are suitable for growing and enjoying directly, but some small plants also have a fine ornamental effect, and if you grow plants in a crystal bottle or a glass box, they also give a uniquely stunning impression.

1. Ferns

Ferns need no introduction; ferns are all fairly suitable for growing in glass bottles, and those smaller plants plus some decoration have an even better ornamental effect, such as brake fern (Pteris), maidenhair fern (Adiantum), painted fern, and so on.

2. Mosses

Mosses are also a type of plant very suitable for putting in glass bottles. Basically all miniature landscapes include moss plants, and moss plants are a very good choice for decoration, just like a carpet, and they come in many colors too.

3. Asparagus fern

Everyone is certainly familiar with asparagus fern (Asparagus setaceus); it is also rather like ferns, and growing it in a glass box is a good choice too. However, asparagus fern is fairly large in size, so when choosing one, it is better to pick a dwarf or young plant.

4. Clearweed

Clearweed (Pilea) is also a fairly common plant; its leaf surface has obvious silver veins, and the underside is dark red, and this unique side is also the reason it is popular. The one most suitable for growing in a glass box is Pilea involucrata, because it likes humidity, its leaves are fairly small, and it does not need much light. Another one is Pilea glauca, whose leaves are extremely small; it also has a name, "baby's tears," but its leaves do not like getting wet, so gardening friends should pay attention when growing it.

5. Ivy

Ivy comes in pure green and variegated types, and both are very suitable. It is best to choose one with smaller leaves. If it trails too long, you can prune it, and do not throw away the cut stems and leaves either; if you stick them back into the soil, they will also take root and sprout.

6. Nerve plant

This plant is very short, at most only just over 20 cm, and its leaves have three-dimensional veining, so it is very suitable for a glass box; the veins are white, and also red or pink. A glass box is not very suitable for growing flowering plants, and fortunately these colorful leaves make up for the color problem.

7. Peperomia

Peperomia is also a low-growing plant, generally not exceeding just over 10 cm, and most peperomias are suitable for growing in a glass box. For example, Peperomia caperata with deeply veined leaves, or Peperomia argyreia, can both be grown in a glass box, and the ornamental effect is quite good too.

8. Foliage begonia

The leaves of foliage begonias are very beautiful, and some are extremely brightly colored, such as the commonly seen Begonia rex, which is not very afraid of humidity and fully suits the living environment in a glass box, so growing it in a glass box is good too.

9. Polka dot plant

This small-leaved plant is very cute, with tiny spots on the leaf surface, and most are pink, which is very likable. This plant is very short and easy to grow, and growing it in a glass box looks quite nice too. If it grows taller, you can also pinch off its top to control its growth.

10. Bromeliad

Everyone knows the leaves of bromeliads; they really are extremely beautiful. If you want to put one in a glass box, you can just choose a relatively small plant, and bromeliads also rather like humid environments.
