Watering is an unavoidable "hurdle" in growing plants. Most flower lovers basically know when to water their plants and how much water to give. But today, Huahua is going to teach you how to add a little something when watering, so your plants grow better and more vigorously!

Mosquito coil ash

The weather is getting hotter and hotter now, and mosquitoes are starting to run rampant. Many friends have started burning mosquito coils to repel them. However, do not throw away the burned mosquito coil ash - it is an excellent fertilizer for growing plants!

▼

Mosquito coil ash + floral water

1. Prepare fully burned mosquito coil ash, floral water, and a bowl of clean water.

2. Pour the mosquito coil ash into the clean water, add a few drops of floral water, and mix well.

3. Pour it into a spray bottle and spray your plants - it can repel the mosquitoes and insects that bother your flowers!

Using mosquito coil ash as fertilizer

Mosquito coil ash is rich in potassium. Used as fertilizer for growing plants, it can make flowers grow more robustly.

1. Evenly sprinkle the mosquito coil ash powder over the surface of the potting soil.

2. Spray the plant with water so the mosquito coil ash blends better with the potting soil. Do not use mosquito coil ash too frequently; applying it about once a month is best, otherwise it easily causes soil salinization.

Rusty water

Now almost every household has idle iron nails. Soaking rusty iron nails in water and using it to water plants can improve the yellowing of leaves!

▼

Soaking iron nails in water

1. Put the rusty iron nails into water and soak for one day.

2. Pour the soaked iron nail water into a spray bottle, put the iron nails in as well, and then spray your plants.

3. If it is a hydroponic plant, you can simply drop a rusty iron nail into the hydroponic bottle.

Iron bucket + rainwater

If you have old rusty iron buckets or iron pots and similar containers at home, do not throw them away - these are wonderful tools for growing plants!

1. On rainy days, put the rusty iron bucket (or other container) outside, or simply pour clean water into the iron bucket.

2. Leave the iron bucket full of rainwater or clean water for 1-2 days, then use it to water your plants. There is no need to filter out the iron residue in the water; pouring it into the soil can better improve the soil's pH.

Fruit peels

Everyone eats fruit often, and throwing away the leftover peels is such a hassle. Use them to grow plants and the flowers bloom more brightly - killing two birds with one stone!

▼

Soaking orange peel in water

1. Take a small amount of orange peel and soak it in clean water for at least 24 hours.

2. Filter the orange water and pour it into a sprayer to spray your plants. The sprayed flowers act as if they have drunk hormones and will grow more and more vigorously!

▼

Making enzyme solution from fruit peels

1. Cut the leftover fruit peels into small pieces and put them in a plastic bucket filled with clean water, then seal it.

2. Place the plastic bucket in a cool, ventilated place, and open the lid every 3-5 days to release gas.

3. After about 2-3 months, the enzyme solution is ready. Filter it and bottle it. About every 10 days, dilute it with water to water your plants; the fertilizer-to-water ratio is 1:100.
