I've always felt that Mountain Rose is the fresh version of a rose in the succulent world, and growing it puts you in an absolutely wonderful mood!

Mountain Rose is called the rose that never withers, representing more enduring love and beauty! It comes from the famous tourist destination the Canary Islands and nearby islands.

Mountain Rose likes a cool, dry and sunny environment. Therefore, it grows in the cool season and goes dormant in the hot season.

During dormancy, the leaves of Mountain Rose are tightly wrapped, closely resembling a "rose bud" about to bloom.

During the growing season, Mountain Rose fully opens up, like a blooming lotus, while the leaves in the center are neatly staggered, shaped like a rose, with an even more clear and elegant temperament.

So how do you grow a beautiful Mountain Rose? As long as you master the following three points, you too can become a Mountain Rose care expert~

How to water:
How to ventilate:
How to provide light:

Mountain Rose generally grows vigorously in spring, autumn and winter, and goes dormant in summer. In fact, sleeping through summer is not an easy thing for these little Mountain Roses, and many Mountain Roses go to sleep and never wake up again.

For many soil-scooping officials, this is undoubtedly a heavy blow in their succulent-growing career, feeling miserable and heartbroken.

Although there has always been a rumor in the community that succulents "die when summer comes", in fact, as long as you do the following three points well, your Mountain Rose will not only safely get through the difficulty, but will also grow into a beautiful succulent with off-the-charts looks~

1. "Plenty of sunlight" and "avoid direct sun exposure" - how do you tell them apart when they seem so confusing?

I believe all you soil-scooping officials have read a lot online about how Mountain Rose gets through summer, and one very important point is to maintain "plenty of sunlight, but avoid direct sun exposure".

If you avoid direct sun exposure and don't give light, it will cause the succulent to grow leggy; if you give too much sunlight, Mountain Rose is prone to sunburn and death, turning into dried flowers like a specimen.

These two concepts have stumped countless heroes in the succulent world. In fact, solving this problem is very simple; you just need to avoid direct sunlight at noon in summer and it's OK.

Simply put, it means shading. Generally, when the temperature is above 35°C, everyone needs to pay attention to the issue of shading.

Avoiding direct sunlight at noon is actually very simple. If Mountain Rose is placed outdoors, buy some three-pin or four-pin shade nets online and cover at a position about 30cm away from the succulent, and you can successfully avoid direct sun exposure.

If it is indoors, you only need to let Mountain Rose quietly rest under scattered light, and generally there will be no problems.

2. Say NO to steaming "sauna baths"!

Another big trouble for Mountain Rose in summer is the issue of watering. Regarding this headache-inducing watering problem, many succulent lovers often find that watering too much is death and watering too little is also death, which can be described as scratching their ears and cheeks, unable to help.

In fact, as long as we grasp one key point, solving the watering problem is also a matter of minutes.

This key point is that we must refuse to let Mountain Rose be in a state of steaming "sauna baths". Never let the little succulents be in a hot and humid environment, so in summer we must control watering.

The safest way to control watering is to soak the pot for Mountain Rose. Just dip the pot shallowly in water, keep it for a few seconds and then take it out, keeping some moisture at the bottom of the pot.

Another method is to reduce the frequency of watering, watering once every 2 to 4 weeks. You can lightly sprinkle water around the edge of the pot at night when the next day is sunny. If it is cloudy, just increase ventilation a bit; there is no problem without giving water.

3. Let the succulents sleep peacefully under a "natural air conditioner"!

In the hot and humid summer climate, Mountain Roses also feel stuffy, hot and unbearable, unable to breathe.

In fact, at this time we only need to place the succulents at a ventilated window, letting them fully enjoy nature's "natural air conditioner", stretching infinitely and freely under the blowing of the wind, and then they can sleep peacefully.

Of course, some soil-scooping officials are very willing to endlessly and shamelessly spoil these little Mountain Rose ancestors, putting them in an air-conditioned room to be blown, or hanging a gentle breeze ceiling fan near the succulents. All of this is up to you. They are originally lazy-person plants, as long as you don't spoil them excessively

Mm, that's roughly all the content above. As long as you master the above three key points, you can take good care of these little Mountain Roses, so they can also accompany you together through a passionate summer.
