The leaves of the Ping'an tree (Dracaena fragrans) have black spots and blackened edges - is this a sign of disease?

One of the most common diseases in home-grown Ping'an trees (Dracaena fragrans) is leaf spot disease. Using non-breathable pots, compacted soil, and overwatering are the main causes of this disease. Growing Ping'an trees in non-breathable pots makes them most prone to these disease conditions. It is recommended to repot the Ping'an tree into a breathable pot such as a ceramic pot, and replace the potting soil - it is too non-breathable and prone to disease.
While repotting, also check the condition of the root system along the way. The causes of this disease are winter temperatures not reaching the Ping'an tree's growing temperature of above 20 degrees, overwatering, potting soil staying too wet for too long, and lack of ventilation. If the condition shown in the picture appears, it is not too serious yet. First, stop watering. Wait until the potting soil is completely dry, then water thoroughly once with carbendazim solution at 1:1000. Cut off the dry leaves. Spray the leaves with carbendazim at 1:500, 2-3 times with about 1 week between sprays. When spraying, try to choose the midday time period with good light. About 3 times should effectively alleviate it.
The picture above shows one grown by a flower enthusiast last time, which was even more serious than the first picture. In winter, watering must be kept under control. If the temperature is not sufficient, just water thoroughly once the potting soil is completely dry. Try to water at warm midday, and open the window appropriately at noon for ventilation. Wait until spring to resume normal watering. When opening the window for ventilation normally, spray a little water on the leaves to increase air humidity. In winter, spray carbendazim once a month, which can effectively prevent leaf blight and leaf spot disease from appearing.
