The wild herb with remarkable effects on swollen and painful gums, common in the mountains yet hard to buy even with money

Today I'm going to introduce to you a wild herb that is very common in the mountains. This wild herb is called Cimicifuga foetida (bugbane). Cimicifuga foetida was recorded very early in the "Supplementary Records of Famous Physicians." Its roots are harvested in February and August each year, then dried.
Cimicifuga foetida belongs to the Ranunculaceae family and likes to grow in grassy slopes and under forest canopies. It is generally distributed in places such as Heilongjiang, Liaoning, and Jilin in our country.
Cimicifuga foetida is also called Zhouma and Longyan root. Farmers generally dig up its rhizome, wash the mud off it, and then sun-dry it. After sun-drying, the excess fibrous roots are removed, and then it can be used as medicine.
Cimicifuga foetida has the effects of clearing heat and detoxifying, dispelling and reducing fever, elevating yang qi, and promoting eruption of rashes. It can treat absence of sweating, cough, wind-cold exterior syndrome, vomiting, headache in the forehead, and swollen and painful gums. In the city, you can't necessarily buy it even with money!
