How to propagate Anthurium? Two methods everyone growing Anthurium at home must learn

Division propagation: Choose a suitable Anthurium offset, disinfect it, and place it in a cool, shaded spot so it can quickly recover and grow roots. Once it has rooted, it can be planted in a pot. Seed propagation: First collect the seeds and sow them individually in sand, keeping the soil moist. When it grows 5 to 6 leaves, it can be planted in a pot.
1. Division propagation
It has a fairly strong ability to produce tillers, so division is very suitable for its propagation.
First, we need to determine the timing of division. It is generally better to do this in a cooler environment, usually choosing spring or autumn. This operation is generally not done in summer or winter.
Next, we need to choose suitable offsets. Be careful not to damage the mother plant when separating the offsets. Choose offsets according to these principles: first, do not choose ones that are too large; second, do not choose ones that are too weak and small; third, do not choose ones that are too close to the mother plant; fourth, the chosen offset should preferably have 2 or more roots. We can either use our hands directly or cut off the offset with a blade. After removing the offset, it must be disinfected.
Place the disinfected offset in a cool, shaded spot so it can quickly recover and grow roots. Once it has rooted, it can be planted in a pot. When planting, be careful to spread its roots flat and set the offset upright. It can also be given appropriate support. Note that after planting, it must not be watered immediately, but the leaves can be lightly sprayed with water. After 2 days, it can be watered lightly or given some diluted liquid fertilizer.
2. Seed propagation
Its seeds can be sown as soon as they are collected. First, we need to collect the seeds. Because its seeds are wrapped inside the fruit, we can process the fruit to take out the seeds. Of course, we can also directly buy already processed seeds.
After collecting the seeds, we can sow them individually in clean sand. Sowing at a depth of about 0.5 to 0.8 cm is best. Keep the soil sufficiently moist. They will sprout in about two weeks, and small leaves will soon grow. When it grows 5 to 6 leaves, it can be planted in a pot. Note that we need to prepare the soil in advance, and it can be mixed in the ratio of peat soil : perlite = 2:1. After planting, place it in a cool, shaded spot for about 7 days, and then it can be grown normally.
