Ali is a young woman whom even the girls in the office all adore - beautiful, knowledgeable, and friendly. She can paint a fine painting and embroider beautifully. If she didn't live overseas long-term, this editor would want to slip over right now to find her...

Part ALife

A while ago, this editor saw Ali share her ownbotanical embroideryworks in the plant group, and truly loved them, so I couldn't resist reaching out to her. I discovered that not only are her embroidery skills excellent, but painting is also one of her strengths, and her colorful life made this editor feel like I was fed a whole bowl of dog food...

△ Ali and her husband

Even in a photo they look exactly like a sweet young couple - similar fangs, matching smiles, everything radiating the sweetness of life... "My husband is one year younger than me. We met in our first year of university, fell in love, studied, graduated, did our master's degrees, got married, went abroad for further study... It has been 10 years now." 10 years?! Yes, this is what their life looks like.

They studied together for their bachelor's and master's degrees. After the husband finished his master's, he successfully obtained a quota and support from the China Scholarship Council and came to the Netherlands to do scientific research, so they moved to the Netherlands.

Ali and her husband love to travel, enjoy experimenting with food at home, and their photography skills are first-rate. Every time they share to their circle, many people say they've been thoroughly overwhelmed.

But in Ali's view, it is really just the most ordinary and commonplace daily life to the Nth power - learning and progressing together, growing together, supporting each other's ideals, and caring for one another.

Part BExperience

Ali's first impression is very comfortable - artistic, fresh. While she was doing her master's, she once worked for aTop 10 artistic clothing storeshopproviding three years of model photography.

At the same time, she also worked at theLu Embroidery Research Instituteas a designer, following the inheritor of Lu embroidery intangible cultural heritageTeacher Rong Yuruito learn China's thousand-year embroidery craft.

After going abroad, Ali collaborated with local studios, accepted some private embroidery commissions, and also did workshops for some charities, sharing Chinese culture.

Part CWorks X Embroidery

? Asparagus fern embroidery couple shirts

Ali believes thatthe asparagus fern patterncan express the bond between her and her husband - growing from "children" into steady adults, complementing each other, and also completing themselves, each growing into their own form.

On those countless quiet nights, lighting a stick of incense, writing, reading, painting, with the asparagus fern keeping company by the desk, it gives one the temperament of a scholar and literatus. My fondness doubled in my heart, so I painted it and embroidered it.

When drawing, one needs to carefully study theformandgrowth habitof the asparagus fern's branches and leaves, making sure one already has it clear in mind before putting brush to paper.

▽ T-shirt style

? Tulip mail parcel brooch

Making this brooch was no coincidence either - the tulip is also a symbol of the Netherlands.

The weather is clear, the sun is shining - not often seen in the Netherlands during this month's terrible weather. Sitting quietly among the plants, in this stitch and thread, telling unknown thoughts, sending this "flower mail of love" full of feelings for family and old friends, to distant places.

Text and images are limited. Friends who like them can go to the official account: aliartstudio to see more works, and there are also making tutorials.

Part DPainting

A year with nothing to do, just busy for flowers. Using flowers to describe the twelve months of the year could not be more fitting. Ali loves traditional Chinese culture and likes to find elements from ancient poetry or ancient paintings, especially Song dynasty flower-and-bird painting.

Looking at the painting, the structure and colors of the peach leaves are rendered vividly and thoroughly, and the composition is simple yet full.

△ Twelve months of flowers

Ali often passes the time painting after dinner. Although her current handmade works are not many, each one is exquisite.

Ali hopes that throughcreating a niche brand and products, she can bring everyone modern aesthetic concepts and designs that are truly close to life, green and healthy, of good quality, and based on traditional Chinese culture.

Part E Plants

Ali also often hangs out in our plant group sharing plants & daily life with everyone, showing that she is someone who really loves plants.

In her spare time, Ali likes to drink tea, read, and paint surrounded by plants.

Plant elements can be seen everywhere in her works, lifelike under her brush.

Ali set up a vegetable shed on the rooftop terrace, experiencing the joy of growing while also meeting daily needs, and can often enjoy the sunrise and sunset, and watch the flowers bloom and fruit set by the window.

△ Chili peppers

In Ali's view, art originates from the little details of life, and these are all sources of creative inspiration.

This is an era that makes adults feel tremendous pressure, and everyone is anxious. Ali is one of the few people I've seen who is unhurried and composed about life.

"But this kind of life definitely requires being proactive and enterprising, and also staying grounded. In this hurried era, there are not only those dazzling or rapid successes -we can also embrace the small certain happiness of ordinary people。”
