It is May now, and the temperature is neither hot nor cold, making it a great time to take flower cuttings. With these 3 kinds of flowers, snap off a branch and stick it in soil and it will root, with a 99% survival rate. Take cuttings now, and you can enjoy the flowers in autumn!

1. Kalanchoe

Kalanchoe flowers are delicate and lovely, with abundant varieties and many colors. After kalanchoe blooms, in order to encourage a second round of flowering, you generally need to promptly cut off the flower branches. Do not throw these flower branches away; they can be used to take cuttings and grow new kalanchoe plants.

1. Take the healthy flower branches you cut off, about 10 cm long, keep the upper 2 leaves, make a 45-degree diagonal cut at the base, let the cut dry, dip it in rooting powder, and insert it into moist sandy soil;

2. In about 10 days small leaves will grow, and in 30 days roots will form. Be sure to wait until roots have grown before repotting;

3. After roots have formed, you can transplant it into a pot, then water thoroughly, and place it in a spot with bright, indirect light and good ventilation.

2. Geranium

Geranium flowers are large and vivid, and it can also be propagated by cuttings from pruned branches. It is easy to propagate, and it takes only about 3 months from a rooted cutting to flowering.

1. Cut off healthy geranium branches, cut them into sections about 10 cm long, remove the lower leaves, keep 2 to 3 top leaves, and leave them in a cool place to dry for about 2 hours;

2. Then insert them into moist sandy soil, and they will root in about 10 days. If you have vermiculite at home, you can also insert them into vermiculite, where they root faster, in about 7-10 days, with a higher survival rate.

3. Moss rose

Moss rose (Portulaca grandiflora) is known as a plant that cannot be killed. Not only is it tenacious, its flowers are also beautiful. It is also a flower that can be propagated from a single branch, with a 99% survival rate, making it one of the easiest flowers to root from cuttings.

1. Select healthy moss rose branches, about 8-10 cm, then directly insert them into moist garden soil. First keep them shaded and ventilated for care, and after 1 week gradually expose them to light;

2. Keep the potting soil moist, and they will root in a few days. After that, basically leave them alone, and they will quickly fill the pot and bloom.
