Recently I've been craving grapes, but they feel a bit pricey. On a whim, I thought of propagating grapes from cuttings - not only can I grow them myself, but I can also eat the grapes.

Before taking grape cuttings, you first need to select relatively vigorous branches growing on the grape plant. After that, cut the branches into small sections, making sure to leave two buds on each section.

After that, find a small bottle and fill it with water. Then insert the cut grape branches into the bottle, being careful not to let the buds soak in the water, and the height of the bottle must be lower than the height of the buds.

Seal the mouth of the bottle with cotton, bury the prepared bottle into a flower pot filled with sandy soil, and keep the potting soil moist.

After about a month, you can see the cuttings have rooted, and at this point you can also transplant them.

This is the hardwood cutting method, suitable for doing in spring. If you find this troublesome, you can directly use the greenwood cutting method.

When taking cuttings, first select a tender branch of the current year's growth from the plant, keep one leaf on the branch, and keep three buds.

After that, soak the branch in water overnight. Put nutrient soil into a relatively small plastic bag, and make a hole in the bottom.

Insert the branch into the soil, then put the plastic bag into a flower pot, bury it well with soil, water it thoroughly, and cover it with plastic film.

After some time, you can see the branch has rooted. This cutting method has a very high survival rate, and the branches root very quickly.
