The Milan flower has bloomed, goose-yellow little flowers bursting in clusters along the branches, accompanied by tender green new leaves, yellow and green interwoven, fragrance filling the air.

Time flies so fast - this pot of Milan flower has been in my home for eight years now, and through these eight springs, autumns, winters and summers together, it always quietly stays in its corner, quietly sprouting new leaves, quietly nurturing flower buds, quietly blooming. The tiny flowers are understated and never showy, yet cannot hide their refreshing fragrance - whenever they bloom, the whole room is filled with scent.

Eight years ago when I happily moved into my new home, a friend gave me two potted plants - one money tree (which sadly died half a year later) and one Milan flower. This Milan flower had a very beautiful shape, with lush branches and leaves, thriving and verdant - from any angle it looked absolutely perfect, a premium specimen among flowering trees.

But this perfectly presented Milan flower nearly died when it first arrived at my home. As someone with no experience in growing flowers, in order to care for this plant well, I took a shortcut and directly asked the flower seller how to grow it. I do not know what purpose the flower seller had, or perhaps he simply did not know how to grow this flower at all, but he casually claimed that the Milan flower likes dry conditions and only needs watering once a month. And I actually believed him, trusted that he was an experienced person, did not ask anyone else, and did not look it up online - causing this Milan flower to go through a near-death experience.

On the first day the Milan flower arrived at my home I watered it once, and in the days that followed I did not water it again. After the first week, the leaves were a bit wilted; by the second week, the leaves began turning yellow bit by bit; by the third week, the yellowed leaves looked as if they had dried up, continuously falling one after another. Every day there was a thick layer of fallen leaves under the pot, and after sweeping them up, the next day it was the same again. This situation lasted four or five days, and the Milan flower that had once been lush with branches and leaves became sparse, with many branches also drying up. I watched with my own eyes, anxious in my heart, as a beautiful pot of flowers step by step headed toward death.

Only then did I search online for how to grow Milan flowers, and it turned out that Milan flowers love water and need frequent watering to stay moist. Following the correct method to care for the Milan flower, watering frequently, the nearly dying Milan flower finally survived, sprouting new leaves again - only many dead branches could not be saved and had to be cut off. The originally dense branches became much sparser, and the perfect tree shape was gone, but I was just grateful it was still alive and once again full of vitality.

The Milan flower is evergreen through all four seasons, also known as the four-season Milan, and blooms in every season. Whenever it blooms, the room overflows with floral fragrance, captivating and unforgettable.

Today outside it is misty and rainy, while inside there is fragrance everywhere - the scent of the Milan flower is fresh, elegant and intoxicating...
