Gardenia yellow leaves and leaf drop make it hard to grow? A step-by-step guide to revive it into a full blooming pot

Quite a few gardening friends have been asking me. The gardenia has lost all its leaves, can it still survive? How should I handle it to save it?
Today I'll take this question to answer it. If a gardenia has lost all its leaves, the first thing to do is use scissors to cut off a branch. Check its freshness; if the branch is still fresh, it proves it can still survive.
Take the whole gardenia out of the pot soil, rinse the soil off the roots with water, and check whether the root system is growing. If there is no growth, there must be signs of rot. Cut off the rotten roots. Use mancozeb mixed with water at a 1:1000 ratio to soak the gardenia's roots for more than one hour.
Use new soil to plant the soaked gardenia into a flower pot. Use the soaked mancozeb aqueous solution to directly water the pot soil thoroughly. Cut off all the overly dense branches and the small thin branches inside the gardenia. Shorten the branches appropriately; for the degree of pruning of the inner branches, follow the look in the picture above. That is, keep only a few short, thick branches. Cut off all the others; it can recover quickly, and many more buds will grow, and it will grow faster by then. It can also reduce nutrient consumption.
Put it in a cool, ventilated place; do not expose it to strong light, and it must be ventilated. Spray water on it every morning and evening. Spray carbendazim once about every seven days. Spray three times. Continue until its new buds grow out. Put it in a place with slightly more light, and gradually return to normal care. During this period, you must not fertilize, and you must not water with aluminum sulfate. When the buds have grown to about 10 cm, start fertilizing and normal care.
If new leaf buds still do not appear after half a month, directly find a plastic bag and cover it, punch holes in the plastic bag. Take about ten minutes each day to uncover the plastic bag and ventilate it.
Generally, following this method, barring accidents, it can resume growth within at most one month. With fertilizer and water kept up, after a year of care, next year it will surely have lush branches and leaves and many flowers.
