To grow flowers well, the flower pots matter a lot too! Common flower pots include clay pots, ceramic pots, plastic pots, cement pots, iron pots, and so on. For example, Clivia miniata is very well suited to ceramic pots.

When a flower market is demolished, lots of flower pots get thrown away. Flower pots are different from potted plants; potted plants are consumables, and once they die you need to buy new ones, but a flower pot can be used for a long time once bought. The flower vendors probably felt these pots were hard to sell and didn't bring in much money, so they just threw them all out.

Being able to pick up these flower pots is good luck! There are all sizes, big and small. Small pots can be used by gardening friends to grow succulents, while slightly larger pots are fine for growing large foliage plants or flowers.

The sanitation workers nearby were cleaning up the messy market, with flower pots scattered all over the ground and no one picking them up. That said, this added quite a bit of burden for the sanitation workers. Any friend who loves growing flowers would surely clean it all up when they saw it!

Picking up flower pots is a really fun thing to do, turning waste into treasure. Besides picking them up near flower markets, you can often find flower pots by riversides too.

Flower pots like the ones in the picture below can't even be bought now! Taking them home to grow Clivia miniata or Cymbidium grandiflorum is simply perfect! I really wish I had such good luck to be able to pick up these rare flower pots!

This pile of flower pots was found near a riverside, also discarded by others; they all look pretty decent, and it's unclear why they were all thrown here. Many gardening friends feel that picking up flower pots is embarrassing, but actually, if you don't pick them up, they'll just be waste discarded in the wild; pick them up and you can still grow flowers and plants, making reasonable use of them, so why not? So gardening friends, if you really come across discarded flower pots, be sure to take them home!

After seeing so many discarded flower pots, are you tempted? If you are, hurry up and go out for strolls more often; maybe you'll spot some near a flower market! A few days ago, a gardening friend even left me a message saying they had actually picked up potted plants too! Look at the Clivia miniata and succulents below; they really were all picked up!

You can tell just by looking at the roots of the Clivia miniata that the one this gardening friend picked up is still in great shape, and there's no problem growing it! You see, others have even picked up potted plants, so as someone who loves growing flowers, why aren't you out there picking some up too?
