Yesterday I went to visit the old lady next door and found her putting the fallen petals of her kalanchoe into a bag. When Huahua asked, I found out that Grandma was going to use these petals to make compost and then water the flowers with it! Usually Huahua has taught everyone plenty of ways to make homemade flower fertilizer from waste materials, but overlooked the nitrogen-rich "fallen flowers"!
Flowers "eat" flowers, growing themselves with themselves!

There is a line of poetry that goes, "The fallen red is not a heartless thing; turned into spring mud, it protects the flowers even more." It means that after petals wither, they are not completely disconnected from the flower. When they fall into the soil and go through natural decomposition, they eventually become nutrients in the soil and continue to promote the flower's growth.
Thinking about it this way, it is actually not a pity when flowers wither. If you quickly turn them into flower fertilizer and apply it to the flowers, even better blooms will come out. Why not do it?
So today Huahua will tell everyone how to make homemade flower fertilizer from petals!
1. Collect the fallen petals. For example, kalanchoe blooms abundantly, so more petals fall, making them easy to collect. The petals of others such as Chinese roses and roses can also be used to make flower fertilizer.
2. Put the collected flower fertilizer material into a plastic bag, add some clean water, then seal it and leave it in the sun to bake. Every 10 days, open the plastic bag to let air in, to prevent the bag from swelling.
3. After about a month, the flower fertilizer is fully decomposed. Mix it with clean water at a ratio of 1:20 and pour it on the flowers.
4. Alternatively, put the decomposed petal fertilizer in a ventilated place to dry, then mix it with flower soil and use it as a soil medium for planting flowers, providing nutrients for the flowers.
5. Petals are rich in nitrogen fertilizer. Using petal organic fertilizer to grow flowers can make the flowers bloom more and the leaves greener.
Flowers actually like garlic too!

Now that we have learned the petal fertilizer trick, let's take a look at what other peculiar habits flowers have!
Usually we are quite wary of garlic because its smell is too strong and it seems impolite when out in public, but garlic is definitely a good thing for people who grow flowers. If you don't believe it, let's take a look together.
1、
Promote germination.
Peel and mash the garlic, add cool boiled water at a ratio of 1:3,
then apply the prepared garlic liquid to the sprouting parts,
and new buds can roughly sprout 5~7 days earlier.
2、
Prevent rot.
First remove the rotten part, then cut a garlic clove open and apply the cut surface to the wound so that a layer of garlic mucus adheres to it. After that, apply it once about every 7~10 days until it heals, which can effectively prevent rot.
3、
Make a fungicide.
Mash garlic into a paste, then add 1 spoon of soapy water and 2 cups of clean water and stir evenly,
and let it sit for a while. When using it, first dilute it with 4 times the amount of water, then spray it on plants infected with fungus, spraying both the leaf surface and the underside of the leaves.
4、
Relieve powdery mildew.
Mash one head of garlic into garlic paste, add 1 liter of water, seal it for one day, then filter out the water, dilute it three times, and spray it on the leaves to relieve powdery mildew.
Try it yourself with dried petals and garlic!
