A 90 sq m rooftop vegetable garden built for 8,000 yuan, and netizens are calling it spectacular

Living on the top floor, I have a big terrace. I started building the vegetable garden 2 years ago. The area I laid out is over 90 sq m, and the whole project cost 8,000 yuan. If you're going to lay one, you'd better add a root barrier layer too.
I used the method of fully covering the area with water-storage and drainage boards, covering 100 sq m, then filled it with 30CM of garden soil. On the soil I only laid lawn bricks to make walkways, divided into several sections for growing flowers, grass and vegetables
How it looked when I first bought it
All the soil has been hauled up, and it should be more than 20 cubic meters.
Spring has come. The fields by the sea are planted all over with peanuts. Time waits for no one, so I'd better hurry and tidy up my rooftop garden!
Every morning and evening we go up to the roof to take a look. That feeling of happiness, contentment and peace in my heart is something every flower lover can feel just the same! This spring I planted too hastily, and I hadn't figured out what to plant in many of the empty spots, especially the flower garden. I planted too few flowers, so naturally fewer bloomed.
The "Cuilu No. 1" planted under the horizontal pole for airing quilts was originally a very good grass seed, but the person who planted the turf mixed too many weed seeds into the soil, and all kinds of grasses came popping up thick and fast.
Let's look at the pictures first
Downstairs is public green space. The grass is trimmed neat and pure, and from a distance it gives a very beautiful and comfortable feeling, but that's all it is. Steeping in my own rooftop garden, even pulling weeds (I also keep some varieties I like) makes me feel it's a lot of fun.
The growing environment of the rooftop garden I laid out comes down to hardware issues. If a real expert flower grower took it on, the garden's effect would probably be a hundred times better!
Greens, melons and tomatoes
The space under the corn is used for melon vines to climb
Very sturdy tomatoes, right?!
Corn, watermelon and melon are the fruits we love to eat. I also planted mulberries, figs and dragon fruit, and they are all growing very well now. On the other hand, I didn't plant much of the vegetables we eat day to day, like loofah, bitter melon and winter melon, so you could call it a vegetable garden with personality.
Sunflowers are flowers and also crops, tomatoes are vegetables and also fruits. These two plants could be called widely popular, and they were set as must-plant plants by my niece and my son.
A few more plumeria flowers. The texture is very much like dough kneaded by hand, and the color is very pure. I like them a lot
The weather is fine, so I took a walk in the garden, and got an unexpected harvest:
Melon
And my watermelons too. They're growing well, already as big as pomelos. My son often circles around them, and I really worry he won't be able to resist picking them before they're ripe.
