Snake Plant Propagation by Cuttings and Division: You Can Never Have Too Many Pots

How do fellow gardeners propagate their snake plants? The snake plant's ability to absorb formaldehyde is well known, so you can never have too many snake plants placed in a new home. How do you get more snake plants? By spending money to buy them? Today Xiao Er will share how to get more snake plants for free.
Today let's share the propagation methods for snake plants.
The first is cuttings. Before taking cuttings, prepare loose, breathable soil, an appropriate amount of sand, and a new flower pot. Choose healthy snake plant leaves, cut them into small pieces 6 or 7 cm long, and leave them in a ventilated place to dry for a day. Once the cut surfaces have dried, you can insert them into the prepared soil. Insert them only 3 or 4 cm deep; too shallow is not good for rooting.
After taking the cuttings, place the leaves in a relatively dark and ventilated place, pay attention to watering, and keep the soil moist. However, do not use too much water, otherwise the leaves will rot.
The second propagation method is division. Divide the whole plant into several small plants, but make sure each divided part has leaves, rhizomes, and suckers. Lacking any one of these will prevent it from surviving.
Spread a layer of soil on the bottom of the prepared container, then starting from one side, place the small plants evenly inside. After placing them, fill the empty spaces with soil. After finishing, water thoroughly the first time, and afterward, when doing normal care, control the amount of water.
