Watering is a big deal when growing flowers. If you get one pot of water wrong, there is a very good chance the plant will be gone. On a Tuesday afternoon, I want to share a set of watering tips with all you flower-loving gardeners. Besides tap water, well water and the like, there is plenty of water around us that can be put to use for growing flowers, such as the following three kinds:

1. Leftover tea water

My home has plenty of it every day anyway. Collect the leftover tea water, dilute it with clean water at a 1:1 ratio, and use it to water your flowers. After doing this for a while, you will find that the leaves of your plants at home grow especially green, and no pests appear either. This is simply an unexpected delight. But note that tea water is on the alkaline side and is not suitable for flowers that prefer acidic conditions.

If you happen to grow strawberries at home, water them with this leftover tea water, and the strawberries will be more plentiful and larger

2. An upgraded version of rice-washing water, specifically for killing pests

Besides being fermented and then used to water flowers to supplement their nutrients, rice-washing water can also have a few cigarette butts soaked in it and then be used to water flowers, which can have a certain pest-killing effect. When you do not want to use various insecticides, you might as well try this method.

3. Compound fertilizer soaked in water

Prepare a 1000-milliliter large cola bottle, add about 10 granules of compound fertilizer, let it soak for three days, and then use it to water your flowers. You will find that the leaves of foliage plants such as green dracaena grow especially glossy green, and you do not have to worry about burning the roots.

Besides these three kinds of water, the common fish tank water and water soaked with banana peels are also quite good for watering flowers. Fellow gardeners, just use whatever materials you have on hand and make the most of them. A little more hands-on spirit can help our plants grow better.
