More and more people love growing flowers now, and I've gradually joined this trend too. Yesterday was the weekend, so I took a stroll around the flower market and came back with several pots of flowers. I heard people say pennywort is especially easy to keep alive, so I also bought a pot of pennywort, and it looked quite fresh and perky when I first brought it home.

This morning I put it on the windowsill, and the leaves still looked lively, but who would have thought that in the blink of an eye at noon, the leaves had turned into this - soft and flopped down. It just so happened that a friend came over and suggested I give the pennywort some water, and it would perk right back up!

I never expected that less than two hours after misting it with water, it immediately stood straight up again. Pennywort is just so dramatic, isn't it? They say pennywort is especially easy to keep alive, and it turns out that's really true!

My friend's pennywort is growing exceptionally well. He says that if you want pennywort to grow vigorously, with emerald-green, round, plump leaves that look like little lotus leaves, you need plenty of water and plenty of sun, plus an occasional bit of fertilizer. So what's the story? Below I'll share the method with everyone, just for reference!

Give pennywort enough light, and its leaves will be emerald green and glossy enough to reflect light

To care for pennywort, place it in a spot with plenty of sunlight and good ventilation. This kind of environment lets the leaves carry out photosynthesis fully, reduces the chance of yellow leaves, and makes the leaves even more emerald green and glossy.

Growing pennywort in summer: one bowl of water a day keeps the stems standing straight, never soft, and the leaves grow like little lotus leaves

Summer temperatures are higher and water evaporates too quickly. When caring for pennywort, it's recommended to water once a day; otherwise its leaves will flop softly over the edge of the pot just like in the picture, not standing upright. After watering, they immediately stand straight up again, looking both lively and beautiful!

An occasional splash of nutrient solution and it grows like crazy without stopping - filling the pot is easy

During pennywort's growing phase, add some nutrient solution every 10 days when watering. This will make the leaves even more emerald green and glossy, keep it growing nonstop, and quickly fill the whole pot. It's very simple!
