Irises grow fast, so let me teach you how to divide them into multiple plants

Irises are very beautiful flowers, they are relatively easy to grow, and they grow very quickly, so they need to be divided and transplanted regularly. Follow the steps below and your garden may well be filled with a world of blooming flowers.
Step 1
Dig up the irises, making sure to dig out the entire root.
Mature irises form a network of block-like roots, so you need to separate them into individual plants.
Step 2
Divide the roots into individual plants. The roots may have grown together in the soil, so it is important to separate each iris into a single unit.
Step 3
Remove any rotten roots and dead leaves. Make sure the roots have healthy leaves to thrive on.

Wash off the roots and check for blemishes or other rotten spots. Washing makes it easiest to find any rotten roots among the roots.
Step 5
Dig a shallow hole. Place the tuberous roots into the hole, making sure they are spaced a certain distance apart so the roots have enough room to expand.
Step 6
Cover with soil and gently pack the soil onto the roots.
Step 7
Water as needed until the plants are established and new leaves begin to grow.
Next year, you will enjoy irises in full bloom!
