No need to spray pesticide when flowers have pests, just water them with milk and the bugs will all die off

As soon as the weather gets hot, all kinds of little bugs start coming out again, like red spider mites, aphids, scale insects... it's enough to drive you crazy! Don't worry, today Huahua is going to sum up the pest-killing tricks of gardeners everywhere, save these and they'll definitely come in handy!

Spraying milk to kill pests

Today Huahua is going to teach everyone a method never used before, which is using milk to kill pests. Doesn't it sound amazing?

Steps:

1. First find a clean small spray bottle, open the pure milk, and pour it into the small spray bottle for later use.

2. Use the milk in the small spray bottle to spray the plant, and remember to spray both the front and back of the leaves.

3. Place the flower that has been sprayed with milk directly in a ventilated spot indoors, and quietly wait a few hours to let the milk dry on the leaf surface.

4. After the milk dries, it will cover the surface with a layer of film. For small pests like red spider mites and aphids, they are directly stuck in place by the milk film. Moreover, red spider mites, aphids and others will keep absorbing the milk, and in the end they are completely bloated to death.

5. The method of using milk to kill pests is mainly suitable for relatively small pests such as red spider mites and aphids. Gardeners can give it a try!

Rinsing with a showerhead

Next, Huahua will introduce a simple method, which is to rinse with water! Whether it's red spider mites or aphids, as long as you rinse with water, it works immediately!

Steps:

1. Place the plant with pests in the bathroom, turn on the showerhead and rinse from bottom to top, so that all the pests on the back of the leaves can be washed off.

2. If you're worried that the showerhead will spray too much water on the flower at home, you can choose to find a foam board, cut it to an area slightly smaller than the flower pot, then cut a slit in the board, with the slit size just enough for the plant stem to pass through.

3. Put the foam board over the flower pot, making sure to cover the entire pot surface, then lay the flower flat on the ground (if you're worried that placing it on the ground will damage it, you can put something taller under the flower pot).

4. While rinsing the leaves with the faucet, gently rub the leaves with your hands to wash away the pests and some secretions on the leaves, then place it in a cool, ventilated spot to dry, and this will kill the pests.

5. Pests such as red spider mites, aphids, and fungus gnats can all be killed by rinsing with water.

Washing powder + urea to kill pests

Next, Huahua will introduce a good method to everyone, which is the washing powder plus urea pest-killing method tested by many gardeners!

Steps:

1. Mix washing powder, urea, and clean water in a ratio of 1:4:100 to make a solution, commonly known as washing-urea mixture.

2. First take a disposable small toothbrush, dip it in the prepared washing powder and urea solution, and brush the leaves of the plant that have pests and diseases, roughly brushing off part of the pests or eggs attached to the leaves.

3. Put the remaining solution directly into a spray bottle and spray it on the plant with pests and diseases. Spray about once every 3 days, and 3-5 consecutive sprays are enough.

4. Because after washing powder comes into contact with pests, it forms an airtight film on the surface of the pests, causing them to suffocate and die, and urea also contains a component that damages the pests' chitin, so the effect is somewhat better than using washing powder alone. Washing powder and urea water has a remarkable effect on killing aphids, red spider mites, cabbage caterpillars, and so on.

Soaking tobacco shreds in water to kill pests

If there are gardeners at home who smoke, you can try the next method, which is the so-called soaking tobacco shreds in water to kill pests. The effect is also very good!

Steps:

1. Collect all the leftover cigarette butts from smoking at home, then pull out all the tobacco shreds inside, add water in a ratio of 1:20, and let the tobacco shreds soak fully in the water. If you want the cigarette butts to have a better pest-killing effect, you can also add a small spoonful of soapy water to the water.

2. Soak the tobacco shreds in clean water for about 8 hours to let them fully soak, then filter out the tobacco shreds, and what remains is the tobacco shred water.

3. Put the tobacco shred water into a spray bottle and spray it directly on the leaves of the plant that have pests and diseases. Remember to carefully spray both the front and back of the leaves. Spray about once every 5 days, and 3-5 consecutive sprays can kill the pests.

4. Tobacco shred water is weakly alkaline, and the tar in it is also slightly toxic to pests, so it can kill pests such as aphids and red spider mites.

Soaking pepper + chili water to kill pests

Huahua had always tried chili water to kill pests before, and a few days ago accidentally mixed a little pepper water, and unexpectedly the pest-killing effect was also very strong. It has simply become Huahua's favorite!

Steps:

1. Collect the pepper and chili, and soak them in clean water for 24 hours. For the chili, you can choose relatively spicy varieties like bird's eye chili, and the effect is even better after chopping them up!

2. After soaking for 24 hours, filter out the chili and pepper, and what remains becomes the chili and pepper solution. Pour the solution into a spray bottle and spray it on the plant.

3. If you have a juicer at home, you can also blend the chili in the juicer, then filter out the juice, mix it with the soaked pepper water, put it in a spray bottle, and spray it.

4. Whether it's pepper or chili, both carry a strong pungent smell. For aphids, fungus gnats, and others, it is a smell they dislike, so this pest-killing method is also feasible.

Sticky pest boards + tape to kill pests

What should you do if fungus gnats are rampant at home? Are all you gardeners feeling especially uncomfortable? Don't worry, today Huahua will talk about the simplest pest-killing method using sticky pest boards plus tape!

Steps:

1. If you see fungus gnats at home, then place a yellow sticky pest board next to the plant. It only takes about one night before you can see the yellow sticky pest board covered with fungus gnats.

2. If your flowers have other larger pests besides fungus gnats, then find a piece of tape and gently touch the pest with it, and the pest will immediately be stuck off.

Mosquito coils + mosquito coil ash water to kill pests

When the weather gets hot in summer, annoying mosquitoes start appearing again. Is your household mosquito coil supply about to be prepared again? You might as well use mosquito coils to kill pests!

Steps:

1. If you find pests on your flowers at home, then place a piece of mosquito coil in the flower pot.

2. Place the entire flower pot in a plastic bucket, then seal the bucket. After the oxygen in the bucket becomes insufficient, the mosquito coil will go out by itself. It only takes about 20 minutes to get it done!

3. Don't throw away the remaining mosquito coil ash. Directly spread a thin layer on the pot surface of the plant. When watering, let the mosquito coil ash seep into the potting soil along with the water. It can not only kill pest eggs in the soil, but also supplement potassium fertilizer for the plant. It's simply killing two birds with one stone!

4. Mosquito coils can kill pests such as red spider mites, aphids, and whiteflies, thereby making the flowers at home healthier!

Floral water + mosquito coil liquid to kill pests

Now many gardeners no longer use mosquito coils and switch to mosquito coil liquid because they feel it is safer. We can pour out the mosquito coil liquid and add some floral water. The pest-killing effect is also very powerful!

Steps:

1. Find a plastic bottle, pour the electric mosquito coil liquid and floral water into it together, then add 1000 times clean water and stir it a bit to make a pest-killing solution.

2. Put the stirred solution into a spray bottle and spray it directly on the leaf surface. Remember to spray both the front and back of the leaves. It only takes about 2-3 times to kill all the pests!

That's all for today's introduction from Huahua.
