Grow a pot of garden balsam in summer, beautiful and you can dye your nails, absolutely pure green and pollution-free nail polish

The beauty of garden balsam lies in being both beautiful and practical, you can dye a hand of beautiful nails without spending money, non-toxic and harmless, especially reassuring

Garden balsam, a particularly friendly flower, we call it henna here. The flower colors are bright red, tender pink, purple, white, colorful, cool and fragrant.

When I was little, outside our front gate, a patch grew every year, blazing with brilliant colors, especially spectacular. We used it to dye our nails, and the result was vermilion red; after dyeing several times in a row, it turned deep red. This was the most anticipated thing every summer.

Garden balsam is slightly toxic; as long as you don't eat it and don't break it off to play with it, there's no problem appreciating it. Having played with it from childhood to adulthood, I've been relatively lucky and never got poisoned

Growing garden balsam

Garden balsam is very easy to grow; in the microclimate outside the gate, it never needed any care, blooming on its own every year. Later a road was paved outside the gate, and it never grew again, what a pity.

Potting soil selection: one part garden soil, one part leaf mold, one part river sand; mixed this way, it is loose and breathable, not prone to waterlogging, and helps its roots spread and breathe.

Garden balsam likes sunlight and fears dampness, tolerates heat but not cold. Normally give it plenty of light; at noon in summer move it indoors. Flower pots are different from growing in the ground, and blazing sun will scorch it.

Watering doesn't need to be too frequent, just water when the soil is dry and let it dry between waterings. Or wait until it's completely dry, then water thoroughly. If the soil is too wet, put it in a ventilated place so the moisture evaporates faster. Never let water accumulate.

During the growing season, give it some homemade cake fertilizer water each month, or fermented rice-washing water, or a dilute nitrogen fertilizer solution; apply light fertilizer frequently, and the concentration must not be too strong. Two months before the flowering period, you can add some phosphorus and potassium fertilizer to promote flower bud differentiation and produce more buds.

Garden balsam is a very tough flower, the kind that blooms gloriously with just a bit of sunlight. The buds grow from bottom to top, and it blooms especially abundantly, truly layer upon layer.

Nowadays beautiful women all like to get manicures. Actually, this henna is a natural nail art magic tool. When we were little, how many girls who loved beauty did their own nail art; this bright red color won't fade

, until, as the nails grow, it is slowly trimmed away, prettier and more durable than today's nail art. Those of you born in the 80s, do you still remember
